In 1979, a 14-year-old called Andy Popplewell started building his own six track mixer from a blueprint in an electronics hobbyist magazine. After it was finished he graduated to constructing his own synth before he turned 17 and then wrote a synth pop album in his mum’s garage and recorded it himself between 1981 and 1983; making one single cassette copy. Then due to a chance meeting with Andy Votel 30 years later in 2012, that cassette – not even a demo really as it never got sent to anyone – has now been released as an album.
Twilight

Little town where life awakes
Little story everyday
Promised me you will wait
Ohh
The little town far far away
Will you remember my face
Waking up from twilight gaze
Ohh
Walking on the
Roads of twilight
Walking through
The endless life
When will I find
Shimmering light
Sparkle the soul
Guide to my life
多么想
多么想
见到你
但那时的模样
已记不清
但是啊
可是啊
那个自己
不要在黑暗中离去
Sun is falling down
Days go by
Walking down same little
Roads in twilight
Rain is falling down
Same dark night
But few drops of life
Could spark my eyes
Will I see the
Shimmering light
Waving to me
On the other side
I want to hold
I want to find
Take me on the last flight
Sun is falling down
Days go by
Walking down same little
Roads in twilight
Rain is falling down
Same dark night
But few drops of life
Could spark my eyes
多么想
多么想
见到你
但那时的模样
已记不清
但是啊
可是啊
那个自己
不要在黑暗中离去

Echoes from far far away
The lyrics to T.R.A.S.E.'s song "Twilight" convey a sense of longing and nostalgia for a distant place and time. The singer reminisces about a little town where life was vibrant and every day brought new stories. They make a promise to wait for someone there, hinting at the possibility of a lost love or a missed connection.
The song speaks of waking up from a "twilight gaze," suggesting a dreamlike state or a moment of reflection. The night is portrayed as a time that can never be too late, perhaps symbolizing a longing for closure or resolution. The singer walks through the "roads of twilight," signifying a perpetual state of uncertainty or searching.
The lyrics also touch on the theme of finding light amidst the darkness. The shimmering light represents hope and guidance, something the singer yearns to see as they walk through the endlessness of life. Rain falls down, creating a dark night, but even a few drops of life have the power to ignite their eyes.
The lyrics incorporate Chinese phrases, adding another layer of depth to the song's meaning. They express the singer's desire to see someone they've lost touch with, although they can no longer remember their appearance. They plead for their past self not to depart in the darkness, emphasizing the importance of holding onto one's true identity and not losing oneself in the shadows.

Fun Fact: Michael denied his involvement in this song for YEARS since he was at the peak of his career and didn't want to hog all the limelight from Rockwell. That's why he doesn't appear in the music video or have his name mentioned in ANY of the song's titles or credits. He wanted it kept secret so Rockwell's career could take off. This song became a hit of Rockwell's and MJ didn't take a single ounce of credit for it. Absolute respect for MJ

Absolutely wrong, where do you get your facts from?
Rockwell's father is Berry Gordy, he wrote many hit songs for The Jackson 5, Rockwell's sister Hazel was married to Michael Jackson's brother Jermaine at the time.
The truth is that Rockwell recorded a 3 track demo, he showed it to his father and the reply was pretty much don't quit your day job. When Rockwell was signed 6 months later to Motown his dad was pissed off.
Rockwell was close to Jermain not Michael because of the close familly ties through marriage, Jermaine had invited him over to the Jackson house for dinner, Rockwell stated his mission was to ask Jermaine to do the background vocals and chorus, after the meal was over the only person left in the dining room was Michael , so Rockwell asked him if he would listen to his new demo in order to get some pointers, he then proceeded sing it, Michael was so amazed he called the rest of familly to listen to it, Michael then coincidentally suggested to him that he needed background vocals and asked him if he had anyone in mind, Rockwell jokingly said to Michael "why don't you do it", Michael accepted and even recruited Jermaine.
As for why Michael and Jermaine where not credited that has nothing to do with Michael but Motown. Michal was suppose to be credited but Motown decided not to promote Rockwell’s relationship to his father or Michael, so they would release the track but without credit to the Jacksons, they would also tell Rockwell not to say his real name and never state that he's the son of Berry Gordy. They even made Rockwell have a fake English accent when speaking public since they did not want people associating him especially with his father. Motown was pretty much protecting their ass. One year later it came out that Michael was on the track and Rockwell was Gordy's son, it was major backlash, as the media called him a fake artist and that he got famous through familly connections, that was the end of his career.
