Starting out in 2003 on Waratah Place, TFU has carried a tradition of playing the music nobody else would into the early hours of the morning. In 2007, TFU made the move to Bourke Street. In 2009, TFU was voted runner-up in Melbourne for the title of "Best Club Night Award". In 2011, TFU moved to it current home at 189 Lonsdale Street.
It is also the birthplace to some of Australia's finest DJs, including Adam Bartas (voted No. 1 Melbourne DJ in 2008) and Dean Paps (Orkestrated). It is also home to some of Australia's best up and coming DJs Mickey Nox, John Doe, Heath Renata and more.
Not only has Two Floors Up developed a reputation in the Melbourne clubbing scene as a venue of choice, but it is increasingly becoming known for the music that is played there (referred to by punters as ('TFU Music'). Renowned in Melbourne for its public holiday parties known now as Dirty Days (previously known as Dirty Dozen), many of the country's top DJs have played at TFU.
The origin of the name is simple - the venue has 3 floors with music played on the top 2 floors.
TFU Saturdays has been and continues to be a cornerstone in Melbourne's nightclubbing scene. If you're yet to try it out, what are you waiting for? Every Saturday night from 10pm 'til late.

I think we could do it if we tried
If only to say you're mine
Sofia, know that you and I
I think we could do it if we tried
If only to say you're mine
Sofia, know that you and I
Shouldn't feel like a crime
(Verse)
You know I'll do anything you ask me to
But oh my God, I think I'm in love with you
Standin' here alone now, think that we can drive around
I just wanna say how I love you with your hair down
Baby, you don't gotta fight, I'll be here 'til the end of time
Wishin' that you were mine, pull you in, it's alright
(Chorus)
I think we could do it if we tried
If only to say you're mine
Sofia, know that you and I
Shouldn't feel like a crime
(Verse)
Honey, I don't want it to fade
There's things that I know could get in the way
I don't want to say goodbye
And I think that we could do it if we tried
(Chorus)
I think we could do it if we tried
If only to say you're mine
Sofia, know that you and I
Shouldn't feel like a crime
The song "Sofia" by TFU is a romantic ballad that expresses the singer's feelings of love for a person named Sofia. The chorus immediately sets the tone by suggesting that they could try to be together, even if it means going against the conventional norms of society. The author wants to express to Sofia that he believes their love is worth fighting for and that they should feel free to love each other without any guilt or shame. The verse shows the singer's deep feelings of love for Sofia, describing how he would do anything to make her happy and how he can't resist her beauty, even with her hair down. The author refers to Sofia as "Baby" and assures her that he will always be there for her.
The second verse shows that the singer is aware of the potential obstacles that could come their way and begs Sofia to not let their relationship become just a memory. The chorus repeats, emphasizing the idea that their love is worth the effort to maintain it despite potential societal objections. The song overall is a message of hope for those who love and are not afraid to fight for what they believe in regardless of the circumstances.
