The group currently consists of 11 members: Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, New, Q, Juhaknyeon, Sunwoo and Eric. Former member Hwall (now known as Hyunjun Hur) officially left the group in October, 2019 due to health reasons. They released their first song "I’m Your Boy" in October, 2017. The Boyz's fandom name is The B or Deobi, which was announced on April 4, 2018. The meaning behind it is "The B" is an abbreviation of "The Boyz's Vitamin". No wonder Juyeon said he would like to be Igris. (if he had a chance to be a comic character) That Igris embodied intro slay OMG.
As a fan of both TBZ and Solo Leveling this is just too good to be true.
Brief explaination for who don’t read Solo Leveling: It happened in a world where human suddenly got superpower and became “monster hunters”. A person awaked superpower ranked from E to S and it’s fixed for the rest of their life. Male lead (ML) Sung Jinwoo was an E-rank - weakest of all. But he managed to gain System - a mysterious power allowed him to level up his rank though battle training, then he rocked the world. 🤟
It seems like all TBZ members acted as main characters. 💪
Some symbols of Solo Leveling in this MV:
1. The Evil Statue in the begining: legendary S-rank monster who killed ML then revived and gave him System.
2. The Dilapidated Building: where ML first trained his levels. He got to kill wolves with a sword system gave him. (That’s why TBZ pulled out this sword from thin air, and when they killed one wolf, System exp notif appeared in front of them)
3. The Shadow Monsters: Eventually ML gained a game-changing power: turning powerful dead monsters into Shadows - he can easily summon and control them. His resurrect phrase is “Arise” (yes Juyeon played this part well). Signature Sd Monsters are Igris (0:09 Armored Warrior) - ML’s first general and Ber (3:35 Ant Monster) - his strongest general.
Other Sd Monsters in this MV: Kaisel (1:59 Battle Wyvern) a.ka ML vehicle ft Eric, Iron (2:30 3:01 3:39 Shield Warrior) ft New & Jacob & Younghoon, Tusk (3:27 Orc Archmage) ft Kevin. Hyunjae and Q’s shadows are too hard to recognize sob
4. Ending Scene 3:43 Our male leads gathered all of their powerful Shadows and run to attack the Evil Statue. Go get em boyz !
I’m not really sure there’s a scene where ML eyes glowed as in 3:19. Maybe this scene symbolizes Solo Leveling art style (dark with blue glowing lines and eyes). Sung Jinwoo sure has a signature poster with his eyes blaze full blue like this.
This MV has good storyline which respects the original manhwa so well. Great job The Boyz and your team!
