Jazz musicians actually do stuff like this all the time

Not to this extreme of playing in a subway with a stranger you've never met, but among fellow musicians, just jamming and joining in and playing with each other

I remember once, in high school at a jazz audition, we were all in the school cafeteria
And a group of like 20 kids started all jamming with each other

And it wasn't kids who knew each other
We were all from different schools, just having fun

Obviously we weren't nearly as good as these two, but it was still cool

The fact that 2 complete and total strangers can have such chemistry like this. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity and they both absolutely slayed it. Absolutely incredible. This gave me crazy goosebumps.

TotallyNormalPerson

this was just absolutely amazing i have no words the coordination, the fact they were playing to the tune the whole time there was no mistake as far as i know even if they did make a mistake it's impressive cuz it all being improvised I'm also amazed at the fact they didn't fall while carrying those gigantic saxophones

NoodlePudding

I don’t know much about music, but I do know they might’ve been playing in a specific scale. If you stay within a certain scale and freestyle a bit another musician can tell what scale it is, they can use what they know of the scale to either harmonize or play along. It still takes a lot of coordination though, and these two pulled it off effortlessly! Not only were they in sync, but so were their skills. Absolutely incredible.

@NoodlePudding more than that, its a specific tune, they both know how that tune goes, how the chords go, makes it even easier to play off of each other
