The pair started working together in 2002 and immediately began to build on the success of their individual music careers. Ben’s background is based in electronic dance music and he cut his teeth playing warehouses, lofts and clubs all over the Midwest. Brent experienced great success in the hip-hop scene and split his time between djing and running an independent hip-hop label, Datura Records.

The two found common creative ground with the burgeoning music scene that ignored genre boundaries. Their focus became the best possible music from a broad cross section of club culture. Their 4 turntable dj sets blur the line between hip-hop, electronic and club music to get everyone’s asses shaking. Their djing has taken them all over the US and have included appearances at the legendary South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas.

Tactic has proven just as productive in the studio as they are in the club. Their remixes and original productions have garnered international attention with plays on NYC’s East Village Radio and London’s prestigious KISS FM as well as getting in rotation in the dj sets of Diplo, Tittsworth, Starkey, Flosstradamus, Cosmo Baker and Eli Escobar. Tactic’s music and work ethic has the Pitch Weekly exclaiming “they demonstrate a vehicle of pure talent with a motor that doesn’t quit.” Along with their newly launched label Think 2wice, expect that motor to keep going through 2008 and beyond.
