The feeling I always get listening to this is insane
It's like seeing a photo of a dense wheat field, it's nothing scary but you have this weird feeling that something might be hiding there
Another example would be silent hills PT's loading screen

I think the uncanny feeling is caused by the innocent flute recorder (which is associated with children) juxtaposed with the cryptic and violent lyrics not to mention accompanied with a breakcore beat

The only other piece of medium that made me feel this way is "paranoia agent"

The credits of that anime always left me in some weird state of fear

J'ai faim... (French: I'm hungry)
trois sept cinq six quattre... (37564 (minna goroshi) = Killing everyone)
肚子饿了... (du zi e le...) (Traditional Chinese: I'm hungry)
trois sept cinq six quattre... (37564 (minna goroshi) = Killing everyone)

J'ai faim! (French: I'm hungry!)

Quand doit-on mettre
un terme aux choses

Decider par soi meme,
encore faut-il qu'on ose

Mais la plupart du temps
Cela nous est

dicte soudainement

Cela nous etant dit

Quand tout prend fin ainsi

En s'etant donne pleinement
Sans gros mecontentement

trois sept cinq six quattre... (37564 (minna goroshi) = Killing everyone)
trois sept cinq six quattre... (37564 (minna goroshi) = Killing everyone)
ハラヘッタ... (hara hetta...) (Japanese: 'I'm hungry...")

faint cracking sound, fire breaking out / burning incinerator

Dialogue translation:

When we should put an end to things

Is up to us to decide,
we have to be strong.

But most of the time
That is

not dictated by us

That is told to us

When everything ends

we are completely satisfied
we've given everything we've got

So, we know what this song is about.
However, I have a theory that goes deeper into the meaning of this song.

This song is about genocide as a whole, and how many people kill themselves after doing it.

So we know that 37564 means Slaughter, Genocide, or kill everything. This is definitely relating to the story of the song itself. However we can definitely go deeper.

“J’ai faim!” or “I’m hungry!” being said repeatedly throughout the song may be related to how during genocide, people are hungry for more, well, dead people. So the person saying this is probably who we are talking about, or this so-called “murderer”.

The lyrics “We are completely satisfied, we’ve given everything we’ve got” could refer to the stage in genocide of which you’ve killed everything, and are finally satisfied with everything that you’ve done.

Now, this is where it gets dark. Don’t scroll down if you’re triggered by themes of suicide.

At the very end of the song, we can hear a loud bang, followed by a particularly long note with a sort of exhaling sound in the back, which is actually a repeated crash note. What this could possibly be, and definitely sounds like, is said “murderer” being hit by a train, killing themselves. This can sort of be seen since the last note sounds like a train horn. Also, the lyrics “When we should put an end to things, is up to us to decide” is literally relating to suicide, due to you being able to decide when and how you want to die, on purpose (being up to you to decide).

So, this song is about the stages of genocide, and the psychological states a person will go through during the time doing it. Truly dark.

@certifiedplatypus

yeah...

uhhh

the song's most known theory is about a son who's father passed away in an intentional arson (which the fire can be heard from the start till the end), made by some people the son tried to kill for revenge (which explains why the sequence of numbers translate to annihilation), but failed and because of that they decide to suicide by walking infront of a train (which is simbolized in the end).

I honestly think this track is relaxing in a way, accepting and peacefully passing away. It's harsh but comforting.

Literally, I first heard this song yesterday after having Taiko No Tatsujin for a few months and just bought it today, been thinking about this song and it really just feels like it pulls me back to reality and show how scary life can be

@yuikai9033

this song is not so scary to me- but whenever it starts i start feeling really cold and kind of empty, but not in an emotional way, like literally felling like i dont have organs
