Williams left the band in 1995 while the four remaining members completed their world tour and released a final single before splitting up in 1996. After filming a 2005 Take That: For the Record about the group and releasing a new greatest hits album, a four-piece Take That without Williams officially announced a 2006 reunion tour around the UK, entitled The Ultimate Tour. On 9 May 2006, it was announced that the group were set to record new material together once again; their fourth studio album, Beautiful World, was released in 2006 and was followed up with The Circus, in 2008. The group achieved new success as a four-piece, scoring a string of chart hits across the UK and Europe while selling over 45 million records worldwide. Williams rejoined Take That in 2010 for the band's sixth studio album, Progress. Released on 15 November of that year, it was the first album of new material to feature Take That's original line-up since their 1995 album, Nobody Else. It became the fastest-selling album of the 21st century and the second fastest-selling album in British history.
In 2014, the band recorded a seventh studio album, this time as a trio without Williams and Orange. The album, titled III, was released in November 2014 and became the band's seventh number one. It was preceded by the single "These Days", which became the band's 12th number one single in the UK.
In 2011, Take That set the new record for the fastest-selling tour of all time in the UK with Progress Live, beating the previous record set by their Circus Live Tour in 2009. At the 2011 Brit Awards they won Best British Group. In 2012, Forbes named them the fifth highest-earning music stars in the world. The group performed at the London 2012 Olympic Games closing ceremony, playing "Rule the World" while the Olympic Flame was extinguished. In the same year, the Official Charts Company revealed the biggest-selling singles artists in British music chart history with Take That currently placed at 15th overall, making them the most successful boy band in UK chart history. Four of their albums are listed in the best-selling albums of the millennium, with three of them among the 60 best-selling albums in UK chart history.

Take That Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I wanna contact the living
Not sure I understand
This role I've been given
I sit and talk to God
And he just laughs at my plans
My head speaks a language
I just want to feel real love
Feel the home that I live in
'Cause I got too much life
Running through my veins
Going to waste
I don't want to die
But I ain't keen on living either
Before I fall in love
I'm preparing to leave her
I scare myself to death
That's why I keep on running
Before I've arrived
I can see myself coming
I just want to feel real love
Feel the home that I live in
'Cause I got too much life
Running through my veins
Going to waste
And I need to feel real love
And a life ever after
I cannot give it up
I just want to feel real love
Feel the home that I live in
I got too much love
Running through my veins
To go to waste
I just wanna feel real love
In a life ever after
There's a hole in my soul
You can see it in my face
It's a real big place
Come and hold my hand
I want to contact the living
Not sure I understand
This role I've been given
Not sure I understand
Not sure I understand
Not sure I understand
Not sure I understand
In Take That's song "Feel," the lyrics reveal a deep sense of confusion and uncertainty amidst an overwhelming desire for love and connection. The song starts with the singer asking someone to hold his hand, indicating a need for physical and emotional comfort. He expresses a desire to "contact the living," suggesting that he feels disconnected from others around him, perhaps even questioning his own existence. He confesses that he's not sure he understands the "role" he's been given, which could refer to his place in life or even his purpose.
The chorus of the song is a powerful plea for real love and a sense of belonging. The singer feels that he has "too much life running through his veins" to go to waste, emphasizing a fear of not making the most of his time on earth. He's scared of living, but he's equally afraid of dying before he's truly experienced loving and being loved. He admits that he scares himself to death, which is why he keeps running- perhaps a metaphor for avoiding intimacy and vulnerability.
Overall, "Feel" is a poignant and relatable song about the human need for love and connection. It speaks to the anxiety and uncertainty that often plague us as we search for meaning and purpose in life. The chorus's repetition of "I just want to feel real love" is both heart-wrenching and hopeful. It suggests that despite the singer's struggles, he's still holding out hope for a life full of genuine love and a purpose that he can understand.
