Erich Von Daniken's book Chariots of the Gods started to turn-over my 50 years of bible/Torah studies, 30 years in Jerusalem, Israel, toward world history (i.e. Summerian Tablets). Reading the book of Enoch changed me completely just as it did for Eric Von Daniken who was educated at the College St. Michel in Fribourg. Since publication of Chariots of the Gods, many have tried to persecute him educationally, politically, "legally" and other methods. As someone who has read & re-read The Earth Chronicles, Sitchin was well versed and knowledgeable about the Egyptian, Greek, Meso-American and other civilisation stories beside the Sumerian one. He draws the similarities in their culture, gods, folklore and architecture, etc, then culminates everything back to Sumeria in his final book, if I'm not mistaken. Good stuff...

The truth is,the ancient writings were translated long before ZS was ever born. Zecharia only copied the translated material to books that could be understood by reading. Probably he translate some texts to use in his books but the traditional answer for this question is this. This was a very interesting listen. I don't subscribe to the ancient astronaut theory simply because there isn't enough evidence. However, I do not dismiss it completely either, as there are still many mysteries that more conventional sciences cannot explain. Until more is found out about how these social and technological leaps were made, how and when these ancient monuments have been made and how certain feats have been reached, I don't feel - like some others - I can conclude that this theory is true or not simply because I feel a certain way. That is my subjective feeling and society - and ultimately - reality doesn't care about subjectivity. Based on what is currently available, I lean more towards the traditional way of looking at things as all being done by humanity, on its own, just much of the knowledge and history has been lost. But again, I'll keep an open mind, it is far from impossible that indeed, an extra terrestrial life form intervened with our planet. I just hope a lot will be discovered in our lifetime, and whatever way the discoveries will push the narrative, I hope I'll find similarly well constructed videos, and we'll be able to keep discussing and wondering about what might have happened in times so far in our collective past.

I am reading the sixth book of the seven book set The Earth Chronicles, by Zecharia Sitchen. I would recommend reading these books yourself. This video is does not convey his thirty years of research. This man was a scholar with impeccable credentials in this area.
Mainstream academia does not like change, so research that goes against the narrative gets ridiculed and suppressed.
He is one of the few scholars able to read the clay tablets and interpret ancient Sumerian and Akkadian.
