Other members include Dave Grohl (former drummer of Nirvana and current lead singer of the Foo Fighters), Stephen O'Malley (of Sunn O))) and Burning Witch), Corey Taylor (lead vocalist of Slipknot and founder of Stone Sour), Nick Oliveri (former bassist for Queens of the Stone Age), Jello Biafra (former frontman of the Dead Kennedys, currently with Jello Biafra and the Guantanamo School of Medicine), Matt Skiba (vocalist and guitarist of the Alkaline Trio) and Randy Blythe (lead vocalist of Lamb of God).
The band's name refers to the Rudimentary Peni song of the same name. Their debut album, titled Teenage Time Killers: Greatest Hits Vol. 1, was recorded at Grohl's Studio 606, and will be released early in 2015 through Rise Records, with whom the group signed in December 2014. The album will contain a version of John Cleese's poem "Ode to Hannity," sung by Biafra. Mullin has stated that he isn't sure whether the group will tour, but that they are considering a live appearance on a show such as Jimmy Kimmel Live!, possibly with "three or four singers [coming] out at a time"
Time To Die
Teenage Time Killers Lyrics

I medaled into the abiss, but I never knew how to swim
I dove deep in far, breathing underwater
Anphibious, reckless
Coming up for air, I'm coming up for air
I'm coming up for air
Plank walk
Plank walk
Crawl up to shore
Run across the land
Four legs, and two while hanging
I'm a modern gay man
Yeah
You must not be from around here boy
Plank walk
You look a little strange for our streets
Plank walk
You can park your shit up there by the innerstate
Plank walk
Just be out of town by nightfall
Plank walk
Sun is ours, plank walk
The lyrics of Teenage Time Killers' Time To Die speak of the feeling that comes with existing in this world without knowing one's place or purpose. The opening lines reveal a sense of confusion and a lack of direction. The singer describes how they found themselves sinking into an "abyss," a place of chaos and uncertainty where they struggled to find their footing. The second line of the song hints at a desire to swim, perhaps to find a way out of this abyss, but the singer admits they "never knew how to," suggesting a feeling of helplessness in the face of the challenges they faced.
The next lines are more hopeful, as the singer describes diving deeper, learning to breathe underwater, and becoming "amphibious" and "reckless." It's unclear whether this is meant to be taken literally or metaphorically but it seems to describe a period of growth or self-discovery. The repetition of "coming up for air" at the end of the stanza is particularly poignant, indicating a struggle to find stability amidst the turmoil of life.
The chorus of the song, consisting only of the words "plank walk," serves as a kind of interlude, punctuating the narrative and giving it a sense of urgency. It's unclear what this phrase refers to specifically, but it seems to suggest the singer is aware of the precariousness of their situation.
Towards the end of the song, the lyrics take a surreal turn. The singer describes running "across the land" on "four legs and two while hanging" and claiming to be a "modern gay man." The final lines of the song are spoken by an external voice, warning the singer that they don't belong in this world and instructing them to leave by nightfall. The repeated use of the phrase "plank walk" takes on a new significance in this context, suggesting the singer is walking a narrow path between two different realities.
