In Tekno's song 'Woman', he showcases his support for women's equality while addressing the traditional sexist stereotypes that still exist in society. The song begins by him stating his name and then a reference to Mbaku, a popular character from the movie Black Panther who is known for his strong beliefs in the importance of women. Tekno goes on to criticize the notion that women belong in the kitchen, and that their only duty is cleaning and taking care of the household. He uses the example of his mother and the successful female singer Rihanna to assert that women are capable of doing more and should not be limited by gender roles.
Later in the song, Tekno emphasizes that a woman can be a helper, lover, teacher and even a president, directly challenging the idea that a woman's role is confined to domestic chores. He highlights the importance of equal treatment and opportunities for both men and women, reflecting on his own relationship with his partner where they share in household responsibilities and dance together despite economic challenges. Ultimately, Tekno's message is that women should be celebrated and respected for their diverse abilities and potential, rather than being limited to societal expectations and gender stereotypes.
