Initially they began searching for the next evolution in funk sounds and played live houses around Tokyo as a bass / guitar duo with a vocalist.
Their use of a backing sampler was the start of a journey into a more digital world and experiencing electronic sounds over large PAs inspired them to stir the primitive instincts inside their audience, to push larger walls of sound into their bodies, make them move their ass. But a desire to create sounds that were consistently unique caused them to maintain their status as a fully fledged live act, with keyboards and vocals performed totally live, mixed with the effects of modern technology. With these first musical steps on foreign soil with Adama, TEN-G hope to spread the Japanese psychedelic sound further abroad.

Returning in the morning from March and into May
At night the German bombers would then arrive
To try to ensure that no buildings might survive
The spirit of the people would still prevail
To break their resolve Herman Goring would fail
Make do and mend until the war's end
The flames in city lighting up the night sky
From France to Devon the Luftwaffe would fly
The people would trek out to avoid another raid
All the Plymouth citizens feeling so afraid
The spirit of the people would still prevail
To break their resolve Hermann Goring would fail
Make do and mend until the war's end
Despite all the anguish that's so hard to comprehend
Every afternoon leaving for the countryside
The city air raid shelters were not a safe place to hide
For so many nights their blitzed city would burn
The next day to the devastation they would return
The spirit of the people would still prevail
To break their resolve Hermann Goring would fail
Make do and mend until the war's end
Despite all the anguish that's so hard to comprehend
Despite all the anguish that's so hard to comprehend
The lyrics of Ten-G's song "Exodus" depict the resilience and strength of the people living in a city during World War II. The opening lines describe how the citizens would leave their battered city every day, only to return in the morning, despite the ongoing chaos and destruction caused by German bombers. The nighttime bombings were relentless, as the enemy tried to ensure that no buildings would survive.
However, the spirit of the people remained unbroken, despite the constant adversity they faced. They were determined to endure and overcome the challenges presented by Herman Goring and his failed attempts to break their resolve. The lyrics emphasize the concept of "make do and mend," which is a testament to the people's determination to survive until the war's end, despite the unimaginable anguish they experienced.
The song goes on to describe the devastating scenes that the citizens witnessed on a daily basis. The city's flames would light up the night sky, as the Luftwaffe conducted their air raids not only in their city but in various locations, from France to Devon. Filled with fear, the people would trek out to avoid becoming victims of yet another bombing. The lyrics illustrate the collective anxiety and despair felt by the citizens of Plymouth.
Despite the constant destruction, the spirit of the people endured. They continued to persevere and resist. The song concludes with the repeated affirmation that despite the anguish they endured, it is difficult to fully comprehend the resilience and determination displayed by the people throughout this challenging period.
