Quisiera yo tomar tu puesto
Y ahora yo me siento tan culpable
Y a mi casa llegué
Quisiera volver a comenzar
Mientras me daba cuenta
Que mi vida no iba a ningún lugar
Y miraba el espejo
Y sentía el vacío
Sabiendo que sólo dios puede llenar
The lyrics of Tercer Cielo's song Final Del Camino (End of the Road) tell the story of two brothers caught up in gang violence. The first verse describes a young man who is dying on the ground after being shot, and his thoughts turn to his family as he takes his last breaths. His father laments, asking why his son didn't love him, as he had always prayed for him to change. The chorus repeats this sentiment, the father's heartbreak at seeing his son in a casket and his plea for him to rise up and speak to him.
The second verse is told from the perspective of the older brother, who receives a call that their younger brother is being targeted by a gang. He arrives too late, finding his sibling bleeding and barely conscious. He is filled with guilt, believing that he failed to protect his brother and that he is responsible for him being involved in gang life. He too pleads with his brother to come back to life, but his cries are in vain.
The final verse sees the older brother consumed by rage and alcohol, questioning his faith and lashing out at God for allowing his family to suffer. He remembers happier times, before the violence and drugs came into their lives, and wishes he could go back to those moments. The song ends on a somber note, as he realizes that without God, his life is directionless and hollow.

Se bajaron seis hombres

And the whole neighborhood hides
Y sonó mi celular
And my cellphone rang
A tu hermano lo van a matar
They are going to kill your brother
And I ran as fast as I could but it was already too late
Y llegué y sangrando lo encontré
And when I arrived, I found him bleeding
Respirando todavía sin poderse mover
Still breathing but unable to move
Él quiso decirme algo pero fue imposible

Que a casa ya no volverás
That you will never come home again
That her youngest son passed away
Y a mi casa llegué
And I arrived at my house
Y su cuerpo miré
And I looked at his body

I was out of control and started drinking
Y me volvía más violento hasta enloquecer
And I became even more violent, until I went crazy
Mamá, párele ya no ores por mi
Mom, stop praying for me
Can't you see that God doesn't exist, there's no one here
Where was he when I saw you suffer
Donde estaba cuando sola te quedaste aquí
Where was he when you were left alone here
Porqué no hizo nada cuando mi hermano agonizaba
Why didn't he do anything when my brother was dying
Why didn't an angel come to protect him
If he truly loved me, as you say he does
Todo estaría bien y otra historia fuera
Everything would be fine and it would be a different story
Perdóname no sé que estoy diciendo
Forgive me, I don't know what I'm saying
A veces creo que la mente pierdo
Sometimes, I think I'm losing my mind
Quisiera volver a comenzar
I wish I could start again
Like when Dad and I played hide-and-seek as kids
And you in the kitchen, preparing something delicious
Hogar perfecto sin drogas ni violencia
A perfect home without drugs or violence
Papá ya no te grita, papá no te golpea
Dad no longer yells at you, Dad no longer hits you
And you have an abundance of love, you have the best
Y luego mi hermano menor llegó
And then my little brother arrived
Y como un buen niño él creció
And he grew up like a good boy
Y nunca nada le pasó
And nothing ever happened to him
And today, he is a pilot like he dreamed
Y que su vida nunca se dañara
And that his life would never be harmed
Because of the path that I made him choose
Y lloraba sin parar
And he cried non-stop
Mientras me daba cuenta
As I realized
Que mi vida no iba a ningún lugar
That my life was going nowhere
Y miraba el espejo
And I looked in the mirror
Y sentía el vacío
And I felt empty
Sabiendo que sólo dios puede llenar
Knowing that only God can fill it
