Down Fo
Tesla Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

But we wrote this one, way back in the club days matters
When this was where it's at.
You know, fuck all that 15,000, this was it, you know
And we just love it, and this is the kind of shit we was writin' on the side
'cause we love to get down fo' boogie

Oh take it away, Frankie, baby!
I wanna ride all around, into the sun
And I won't be back 'til the morning comes
I'm gettin' down fo' boogie, all night long

I said come what come, all gather round, 'cause we're all gonna put it down
Get down fo' boogie, all night long, ow!

[Solo]

Mr. Skeoch

[Solo]

I wanna ride all around, into the sun
And I won't be back 'til the morning comes
I'm gettin' down fo' boogie, all night long

I'm gettin' down fo' boogie, down fo' boogie
I'm gettin' down fo' boogie, all night long, yes I do
I'm gettin' down fo' boogie, all night long, tell me, how 'bout you
I'm gettin' down fo' boogie, all night long

That's all folks!

Philadelphia, thank you very much for puttin' up with us tonight
Thank you

Overall Meaning

The song "Down Fo' Boogie" by Tesla is an upbeat rock song that harkens back to the band's club days. The lyrics tell of the desire to simply get out on the open road and ride into the sunset, not stopping until morning. The phrase "gettin' down fo' boogie" is repeated throughout the song, emphasizing the band's love for the boogie-woogie style of music and their dedication to playing it all night long.

The lyrics also touch on the band's humble beginnings, before they were playing in massive arenas and making big bucks. They recall the days when playing in small clubs was where it was at, and the thrill of writing music that they loved on the side. Overall, the message of the song is to simply let loose and have a good time, enjoying the music and the company of those around you.

One interesting fact about "Down Fo' Boogie" is that it was released as a B-side on the single for the song "Love Song," which became one of Tesla's biggest hits. Despite this, "Down Fo' Boogie" has gained a cult following among fans of the band. Another interesting fact is that the song was co-written by Frank Hannon, who is primarily known as Tesla's lead guitarist. The song features Hannon on lead vocals, showcasing another side of his musical talents. Additionally, the song's title contains a nod to the Southern African American vernacular, with "fo'" being a contraction of "for."

@Arno D It's not so much about how great a company is, but rather the valuation of it and potential catalysts. Even the worst companies in the world are worth something.

Tesla sold about a million cars in 2021, VW sold about 9 million. VW's market cap is about 80 billion and Tesla's is about 600 billion. So VW sells 9 times more cars and is valuated 7,5 times lower. That's an almost 70 times higher valuation, and that is when the stock already dropped in half, we were talking a 140 times higher valuation. Tesla's margins are way better though, so you could argue that the 70 times higher valuation has to be divided by 3 since their margins are 3 times higher ish. That's a still 23-24 times higher valuation.

Now can Tesla become the worlds biggest car company? Yeah sure. But it already has that valuation.. One day growth will very likely stop. I don't understand how this AI Investor guy in the video thinks Tesla will become larger than Apple in the next 5 years. If the stock 5x in the next 5 years their valuation has to be 3000 billion.

Nothing is impossible but i mean, with margins around 20%, and let's say a PE of 10, they will need to sell cars for 1500 billion a year. At 50k a car that's 30 million cars a year. That's half of all cars sold a year.. 50% of all cars have to be Tesla..

I mean yeah they own other stuff, but so do most companies. A lot of companies have super AI's. If the revenue aint there yet, it's very hard to know whether it will generate good revenue in the future. Especially with things like this.

Full Self Driving will probably take extremely long still for it to be here. Tesla has changed this date many times. I mean yeah, we have certain cars that can do it already in the states. But if i look at my country, the Netherlands, where roads are way different, then no chance. I saw a video 3 days ago, about AI not being able to recognize a person when it's holding a picture of a chair in front of him.

Yes on highways we will soon have Full Driving (even that can take years still in many countries), but Tesla has enough competition here. It's not like Tesla will suddenly have a breakthrough that FSD will be here, that is simply not possible. It's a very long and slow process.

Then there is Elon who looks like he is more on his way out of Tesla with all the other stuff he keeps starting at and selling huge amounts of shares. Their statement on Optimus made me really doubt the company..

I want to like Tesla and i find it interesting to learn about the company, but sadly most investors in Tesla barely know what's going on or know anything about investing. Look at how much value Bitcoin created while it does literally nothing.

Sounds like you are overly conservative becouse Tesla having cult followers is a red flag for you. Not becouse of the fundamentals.

Tesla’s audience is not the one that takes on huge amounts of dept to get by. The company’s revenue comes from high paid individuals that most probably will be the last to be affected by this recession

I do feel 2023 will be rough so i am buying cautiously and that applies to all stocks not just Tesla, first and foremost i am trying to mitigate loses as much as possible, if i can manage to keep my money then any profit is welcome 💯. just my two cents. Thx

Credit card debt is high, but employment is strong. Definitely some will suffer but the majority are using debt to combat temporary price inflation but that doesn’t discredit their ability to currently service the debt. Something to continue to monitor

There’s data, and then there’s vision.

Although Tesla is the number one EV company in EV sales, Tesla isn’t just an EV Company. it’s a data company. They literally exist to change our workflow for the future. Their continuous innovation in Robo Taxi, Autonomous driving, Semi’s, AI Bots, Energy Storage, just to name a FEW, when all these things come into fruition, Tesla will become much more than an EV Company. The same way Amazon started off as a bookstore, but is now competing against the largest retailers globally.

There’s nothing wrong with taking a conservative approach as an investor, but I can see Tesla’s products and services eventually becoming a demand.

Great video on Tesla, I’m still bullish. I’ve been trading Tesla for a long time, the company will not only recover but also thrive.
