I like it
Turn it up (turn it up)
Ooh-ooh
Come back to me, come back to me
Never want a slow drag (oh)
All I want is more cash (ooh)
Until I get a toe-tag (ah, ooh)
Ever had your heart broken? (Yeah)
Felt like you got your car stolen
Felt like you got your chains snatched (oh)
Baby, bring that thing back
Her mom's had the Volvo (ooh)
We rolled in the Oldsmo' (ooh, ooh)
Was a sucker for a ponytail (ooh, woo)
Lookin' like another game of show and tell (ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh)
And I'm still the same nigga (ooh, ooh)
Chains swingin' like Big Daddy Kane or Jigga (ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh, ah)
Baby, bring that thing back (ooh, whoa)
Hermes wave cap (ooh, ooh)
Hermes in the Gallardo (yeah)
A lotta code words in the convo (woo)
More plaques on the walls now
More doubt from the dogs now
Ooh, everything worth my heart and soul
I'ma give it up and let it go
Mama said if this really yours
Boy, you'll come back to me
All in my heart like no one know
I'ma give it up and letcha go
And if my heart is really yours
Boy, you'll come back to me
Ooh, yeah, yeah, yeah
Is this really worth fighting for?
Is this feeling my fight and yours?
I just wanna know
Do you even care enough to show up
When I need to know your there
Patience, nigga don't talk to me 'bout no patience
Down ass bitch an understatement
'Cause I been loyal I been day one
Figure out what you want
I can't do it for you, no, no
Don't just keep me for the sake of love (ooh)
Love
Love (ooh)
Love
Love
Everything worth my heart and soul
I'ma give it up and let it go
Mama said if this really yours
Boy, you'll come back to me
All in my heart like no one know
I'ma give it up and letcha go
And if my heart is really yours
Boy, you'll come back to me
Mommy
As bad as it's hurtin' me to say this (say this)
As much as your having your way with my heart
This is way to hard
I'm letting go (go)
Love is so good could be forever (ever)
Just to be sure I'll let it all go
So we'll really know
And if its forreal I do believe you'll come back to me
Come, come back to me
Come, come back to me (ooh)
Baby come back, baby come back to me
Baby come back my love
Everything worth my heart and soul
I'ma give it up and let it go
Mama said if this really yours
Boy, you'll come back to me
All in my heart like no one know
I'ma give it up and letcha go
And if my heart is really yours
Boy, you'll come back to me
Come, come back
Worth my heart and soul
I'ma give it up and let it go
Mama said if this really yours
Be quiet
Oop, excuse me
In Teyana Taylor's song "Come Back To Me," the artist touches on the pain and heartbreak of a failed relationship. She begins by addressing the superficial nature of some relationships that she has been in, stating that she wants more than just temporary pleasures. She then recalls moments in the past where love felt different, where she had a special connection with someone who understood and accepted her. Despite this heartfelt reminiscence, she questions whether it is worth fighting for and if it is a two-way street, with both parties putting in effort. She further notes that she has been loyal and patient, yet she still feels uncertain if he truly cares.
The chorus highlights that Teyana will give her all and let go of everything that is not genuine. She references her mother's advice that true love will always find its way back to her. Despite the hurt and confusion, she is willing to let go of love and see if it comes back.
Overall, "Come Back To Me" is a poignant reminder of the complexities of relationships and the agony of heartbreak.
