Where Are You?
Thịnh Suy Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Wondering with your touch right?
Where are you?
Can you see with your real eyes?
Where are you?
Don′t you ever look inside
See what's on your mind
And leave it all behind
Because you know you′re not this body
Because you know you're not the dance
Because you know there's nothing ever real
So where are you?
So where are you?
Close your eyes
Hear the wind blows in your mind
Close your eyes
This is how nothing feels like
Close your eyes
Everything will be just fine
See what′s on your mind
And leave it all behind
Because you know you′re not this body
Because you know you're not the dance
Because you know there′s nothing ever real
So where are you?
So where are you?
Just come back to
Doo-doo, doo-doo, doo (come back to)
Doo-doo, doo, doo doo, doo (just come back to)
Doo-doo, doo, doo-doo, doo (just come back to)
Doo-doo, doo
Thịnh Suy's song Where Are You? is a reflective song that urges the listener to go on an inward journey to discover themselves. The lyrics have a simple yet impactful message asking the listener to question their existence and introspect. The opening lyrics "So where are you? Wondering with your touch right? Can you see with your real eyes?" evoke a sense of curiosity and introspection, questioning the listener's current state of being. The repetition of the question "Where are you?" throughout the song emphasizes the urgency to delve deeper into the self.
The chorus "Because you know you′re not this body, because you know you're not the dance, because you know there′s nothing ever real" is a powerful reminder that our physical being and the world around us are fleeting and temporary. The lyrics urge the listener to detach themselves from the material world, let go of their fears and desires; and instead, focus on their inner world. The song ends with a call to action, asking the listener to come back to themselves, with a hopeful and positive affirmation "Just come back to".

i rarely personally like someone's music overall, mostly sometimes we can relate to a song or two. but with Thinh, it's different. How should i put it? your music shows who you are as a person, it's not solely about telling the stories you observe, or conveying feelings in certain normal contexts, but rather it's offering solace on a deeper level. Thoughtful, down-to-earth, relatable for most (or me). Love this song.
