The Accused regrouped in 2003, playing live shows in the Seattle area, then releasing the album "Oh, Martha!" on their own CONDAR Records label. This "comeback record" landed on Revolver magazine's Top Ten albums of the year and "Writer's Lists" from Metal Maniacs magazine. However, that line-up was short-lived. In 2005 3 members formed another band, Toe Tag and left The Accused. Guitarist and founding member, Tom Niemeyer continued on with The Accused recruiting 3 replacement members in the months following the walk-out by Cook, Alex Sibbald and Steve Nelson.
The next line-up consisted of Brad Mowen, Pete Hodous, Mike Peterson and Niemeyer. They perform and recorded as The Accused until 2008. That line-up released two new songs, 'Scotty Came Back' and 'Fuck Sorry', January 26, 2007 via the band's Official website, as free downloadable .MP3 files.
In 2009, The Accused released a full album of new materail, "The CURSE of Martha Splatterhead"
through Southern Lord Records. That same year, The Accused flew to Birmingham England for an appearance at SUPERSONIC Festival and London England debut gig the next night before flying back to the States to tour the West Coast USA in support of their Southern Lord release.
The out-of-print back-catalog of The Accused's albums released between 1985 and 1990 is currently available as re-releases on both Compact Disc and, scheduled for 2014, limited edition vinyl re-pressings of their popular Combat Records releases as well as vinyl offerings from their stint on NASTYMIX Records.
The Accused is considered to be an important progenitor of the 'crossover' style that bridged the gap between hardcore punk and thrash metal, which later influenced and inspired dozens of 'grindcore' and some 'crust punk' bands.
The Accused are currently, periodically performing live and are scheduled to release a selection of new materail in 2014.

Devil Woman
The Accüsed Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Since the day I saw the cat at my door
So I came here to you, sweet lady
Answering your mystical call
Crystal ball on the table
Showing the future, the past
Same cat with them evil eyes
With evil on her mind
Beware the devil woman
She's gonna get you
She's just a devil woman
With evil on her mind
Beware the devil woman
Give me the ring on your finger
Let me see the lines of your hand
I can see me a tall dark stranger
Giving you what you hadn't planned
I drank the potion she offered me
I found myself on the floor
Then I looked in those big green eyes
Stay awake
Look out
If you're out on a moonlit night
Be careful of the neighborhood strays
Of a lady with long black hair
Tryin' to win you with her feminine ways
Crystal ball on the table
Showing the future, the past
Same cat with them evil eyes
You'd better get out of there fast
She's just a devil woman
With evil on her mind
Beware the devil woman
The lyrics to The Accüsed's song "Devil Woman" tell the story of a man who is down on his luck and seeking supernatural help. He goes to a psychic, who has a crystal ball and a cat with evil eyes. The psychic gives him a potion, and he becomes entranced with her, only to realize too late that she is a devil woman with evil intentions. The song is a warning to beware of the supernatural, especially when it seems too good to be true.
The lyrics of "Devil Woman" tap into popular culture's fascination with the mystic and the otherworldly. The song touches on themes of temptation, danger, and the supernatural. The lyrics suggest that the devil woman is not to be trusted, and that there is a danger in being too curious about the supernatural. The song also has a sense of urgency, warning listeners to be careful when out on a moonlit night, and to avoid certain dangers that may lurk in the shadows.
