Have loved Alonzo for ages, and George should be on for an entire episode. The history is fascinating. Mahalo, Ace🙏

Rick Allen did Pour Some Sugar On Me with one arm (left). He recorded Foolin, Photograph, Rock Of Ages and everything else in and before Pyromania before the accident. He played using the proper matchstick grip with his left hand too which was really rare in Rock music. He can replicate any of those drum parts like the intro he did with two arms and right foot on Rock Of Ages the way he relearned to play with his left foot. He had to completely relearn how to play subbing his left foot for his left arm. And that drum intro for ROA is NOT easy. Steve Clark RIP was one of the greatest lead guitarist since Jimmy Page. That twin guitars he and Pete Willis did on Bringin On the Heartbreak is phenomenal. Now they have The Terror From Belfast Vivian Campbell who was wel accomplished before
He replaced Steve that joined well after Phil Collin had replaced Pete Willis just before Pyromania. So Ace-Man needs to be more aware of his music before he dogs them because he looks silly to musicians. That band was eat up with musicianship. I listened to him absolutely and unfairly trash the Beasties the other day out of ignorance in their contributions to Rap and New Rock alike. They were extremely prolific. Just as Def LEPPARD have been. Not to mention Def LEPPARD had the Legendary Robert “Mutt” Lange producing all those great records through the 80s for em. The music scene isn’t as simplistic as what you guys hear on the stupid radio. The Beastie Boys did an Instumental album for Christ sakes. Listen to Paul’s Boutique and tell me that they’re not talented. That was early on too. Then give Hot Sauce Committee Pt II a spin. They were extremely talented and very crucial.

Thank you for shedding light on Rick Allen and I agree with you on Adams musical rants. Beastie Boys Song for Junior is a good one that doesn’t sound anything like the stuff that got radio play.

Orny Adams and Alonzo back to back, great shows. I'll have to remember that the next time Jonathan Kite is on, must take the good with the bad.
