Walk With Me
The Addicts Rehabilitation Center Choir Lyrics

Jesus walk,
Jesus walk,
Jesus walk with me.
Jesus walk,
Jesus walk,
Jesus walk with me.
I want Jesus to walk with me.
I want Jesus to walk with me.
When I′m on my pilgrim journey,
I want Jesus to walk with me.
He walks with my mother.
He walks with me.
He walks with my mother.
Jesus walks with me.
On my journey, my drug-free journey,
I want my Jesus to walk with me.
He lift up my spirit;
Make my burdens light.
He lift up my spirit;
Make my burdens light.
On my drug-free journey, journey, journey, journey, journey, journey, journey,
I want Jesus to walk with me.
We need our Jesus to walk with us.
We need our Jesus to walk with us.
Oh, on my, my drug-free journey,
Lord, I need my Jesus to walk with us.
I'm calling on you, O Jesus, please walk with me.
I′m calling on you, Master, please talk to me,
While I'm on my, my, my Christian journey.
I want my Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus to walk with me.
I want Jesus to walk with me.
I want Jesus to walk with me.
When I'm on my pilgrim journey,
I want Jesus to walk with me.
Like you walked with Daniel in the lions′ den (The Lord is my shepherd)
Like you walked with Martin Luther King (My shepherd)
Hey, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. (Lord, I need you)
How long? (Gotta help Lord)
How long do I have to go,
Before you walk with me,
Before you talk to me.
I need you,
Every hour,
Every minute,
Every second, dear Lord.
Talk to me.
Walk with me.
Don′t ever leave.
Don't ever leave.
Ah, you walked with my mamma.
Ah, won′t you walk with me.

Ah, won't you talk with me.
Don′t ever leave.

Overall Meaning

The Addicts Rehabilitation Center Choir's song "Walk With Me" is a plea for Jesus to accompany the singer through their journey towards a drug-free life. The repetition of "Jesus walk, Jesus walk, Jesus walk with me" highlights the urgency and intensity behind the request. The singer emphasizes that they want Jesus to walk with them on their "pilgrim journey," reflecting the spiritual and moral journey that the process of rehabilitation can be.

The lyrics also acknowledge the singer's mother's faith and Jesus' presence in her life, further emphasizing the personal and emotional nature of the request. The lines "He lift up my spirit/ Make my burdens light" suggest that Jesus can provide comfort and support during a difficult time. The references to Biblical figures like Daniel and Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, as well as historical figures like Martin Luther King, Jr., further reinforce the idea that faith can provide strength and guidance.

I sang on this song and there will never be a choir like this again. I miss my choir member's some have passed onto be with Lord. And the rest of us very few are still alive. Thank you James Allen, and Curtis Lundy for directing our choir. Where's the money? May God bless you all for what was done to us.
