Rolling Stones Songbook features the orchestrated version of the Mick Jagger and Keith Richards song 'The Last Time', which was sampled by The Verve for their track 'Bitter Sweet Symphony'. Licensing issues over the sample caused the copyright of the song to revert to ABKCO Records and the composition to Jagger and Richards.

The Andrew Oldham Orchestra's song 365 Rolling Stones is a song that speaks of someone who is on a journey of self-discovery and resolution. The lyrics seem to indicate a desire to disconnect and disappear into obscurity; however, this does not mean they will lose themselves completely. The songwriter acknowledges that though they may disappear from the surface, they will still be present, albeit in a more discreet manner. They call upon people with underground hearts to understand that change starts from within, and their thoughts and sparks have the power to create a revolution on the surface. The songwriter also notes the importance of realizing that their mind may not be as transparent as people might think.
In the second part of the song, we see the writer grappling with personal issues such as love and compensation. They acknowledge that they no longer resonate with simple words of love, and this is where compensation comes in. The second part of the song also appears to be a conversation with an unknown entity. The songwriter is in a new place, and it is coming to them, but they are also undeterred by the distractions that come with it. They affirm that the entity is alive, but their mind won't think what it's supposed to, indicating that there is an internal struggle happening.
