Shhh...
The Apex Theory Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Hope diggy
Shhh... diggy
Last without their (x4)

Some people have the tendency
Of sucking the life out of me
Try and fill me with forthcomings
Excess is the way of the wise
Even when they are left alone one hand's on rye
A thousand rambles in a second
Tiny tip is tired and will not tolerate toilet tokens
Until he is "Topsy-Turvey"
So stop the torment, you TRAITORS!

I can't take the squeaks anymore
Than I can't take you
I'm sure your sick of me
Well I'm sick of you too
Haven't gone far enough my friend
If you'll send we'll understand
Enter the choice
And avoid the void
Your safe with the flag...
(...cha...)

Local lopsided judges lure lunacy over
Loony loud lumpy loopholes
With lingo that's loathsome and
Shady shameless shamsters
Shake and shape shaggy young people
With sharp teeth...
On shelves of ship-shaped sharp-eyed shop-owners
While customers consume
Large quantities of curiously cultivated curtains
Crossed and crooked
Atop a crushed ice-maker

I can't take the squeaks anymore
Than I can't take you
I'm sure your sick of me
Well I'm sick of you too
Haven't gone far enough my friend
If you'll send we'll understand
Enter the choice
And avoid the void
Your safe with the flag...

Hope diggy
Shhh... diggy
Last without their (x8)

I can't take the squeaks anymore
Than I can't take you
I'm sure your sick of me
Well I'm sick of you too
Haven't gone far enough my friend
If you'll send we'll understand
Enter the choice
And avoid the void
Your safe with the flag...
Safe with the flag...

Hope diggy

Shhh... diggy

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of The Apex Theory's song "Shhh..." are cryptic and difficult to interpret. The song seems to be about the frustrations of dealing with people who drain your energy and are insincere. The opening lines, "Hope diggy, Shhh... diggy, Last without their," create a sense of urgency and tension. It feels like a warning to stay quiet and watch your back.

The chorus of the song is catchy and emphasizes the singer's frustration with the situation. He can't take the "squeaks" anymore, which could represent the irritating noises and behavior of the people around him. He's sick of them and wants to escape their influence. He urges the listener to "Enter the choice and avoid the void." This could mean that the only way to break free from this toxic environment is to make a conscious effort to choose a different path.

The verses of the song are more abstract and less straightforward. They mention people who are "luring lunacy" and using "loopholes" to get what they want. There are also references to "tiny tips" and "toilet tokens," which could be interpreted in a few different ways. Overall, the song seems to be about the frustrations of dealing with people who don't have your best interests at heart, and the desire to break free from their influence.

@arcticfffox

Sure I'm old enough but we didn't have MTV and this didn't make it to German music TV channels. But SOAD did and I got here through them now in 2022. :D And here I am thinking about how funny it is how fame and promo worked back then.

Haha what a trip. Saw these guys at Ozzfest 2002, when I was 11. After their set I was the only person who went to their merch tent. Bought their CD, and Andy wrote on the front booklet "NATE- Thanks for supporting our little band!". I was like, shaking, because I'd seen them on MTV2 and when you're 11 you think everyone on TV is a rock star. Then he and Dave drew sharpie sleeve tats on my mom. Pretty much the coolest dudes ever. That was a good day.

Love reading stories like these. Cheers.

I saw them that year at ozzfest too, in camden N.J.
They had technical difficulties for half of their set time.
Me and my friend tried to say hi to the singer and guitarist when they were walking past us, and they just looked at us and kept walking.
