The Autumn Film’s song “Kingdom Come” is a song about longing for someone deeply. The lyrics seem to be about a person who has been waiting for someone for many years, and the person they’ve been waiting for is finally here. The song starts with the lyrics “Steal my heart and hold my tongue/I feel my time, my time has come,” indicating a sense of vulnerability in the singer who is giving themselves up to this person. They want to be let in and have their heart unlocked by the person they’ve been waiting for. The singer needs someone to understand them, someone who will hold their head inside their own hands and make them feel safe. They’ve been waiting for this person for so long, until their own kingdom comes, and they are finally able to be free.
