But why never gets noted is how he uses elements of what others do and do his thing with them. What he’s playing for these folks is a cover of DC go go. I’m from the DMV area and Go Go was the shit for us. Chuck Brown. EU. Rare Essence. Junk yard. Trouble Funk. Back in the 70’s, Trouble Funk would groove like this for an hour and make an album out of. “Drop the Bomb” is the shit.
