HELLO I LOVE YOU
The BB Band Lyrics

Well, I would only be in your way
And so I'll go, but yet I know
That I'll think of you each step of my way
And I will always love you
I will always love you
Bitter-sweet memories
Good-bye, oh, please don't cry
Cause we both know that I'm not
What you need
I will always love you
I will always love you
And I hope life, will treat you kind
And I hope that you have all
That you ever dreamed of
Oh, I do wish you joy
And I wish you happiness
But above all this
I wish you love
I love you, I will always love
I, I will always, always love you
I will always love you
I will always love you
I will always love you
The BB Band's song "Hello, I Love You" is a cover of the iconic love ballad originally recorded by Whitney Houston in 1974. The opening lines set the tone of the song as a bittersweet farewell between two lovers who have come to the end of their relationship. The singer acknowledges that staying would only cause more harm and acknowledges the inevitability of moving on, but is unable to shake the powerful feelings she still holds for her partner: "And so I'll go, but yet I know that I'll think of you each step of my way, and I will always love you."
The chorus, where the line "I will always love you" is repeated several times, is the crux of the song's message of unconditional love. The singer is leaving her partner, but forever holds onto the feelings they shared. She wishes them happiness and love in the future, and shows a selfless love that is willing to let go if it means the other person will be happier without her.
Overall, the song is a beautifully crafted message of love and loss that resonates with many people who have had to say goodbye to someone they care about deeply. It captures the essence of what it means to love someone completely, even if that love has to be expressed by letting go.

If I should stay
If I were to remain in your life
Well, I would only be in your way

And so I'll go, but yet I know
Despite leaving, I am aware
That I'll think of you each step of my way
You will be in my thoughts as I move on
And I will always love you
My love for you is everlasting
I will always love you
I will never stop loving you
Bitter-sweet memories
Mixed emotions of the past
That's all I have, and all I'm taking with me
I am leaving with only memories

55 years ago today. Number one this day on Saturday, August 3, 1968. On their European tour in the swinging 60s with girls in flowered miniskirts and all. How I wish I was 18 years-old then. Priceless! Jim looks spiffy in his black leathers.
