1) The Beatnix concept was conceived and assembled in March 1980 by founding member Tony Dean, rhythm guitarist and vocalist (now retired to full-time management) as a live performance entity. This puts it amongst the longest running Beatles Tribute Shows in the world. The Beatnix show includes fully authentic musical instruments similar to those used by The Beatles. These include very rare and valuable guitars by Gretsch, Hofner, Rickenbacker and Gibson, Vox AC30 guitar amplifiers and a Vox AC50 bass amplifier with a T60 bass cabinet. The drums are identical to the ones used by Ringo, a 1960's model Ludwig Black Oyster Pearl kit complete with Zildjian cymbals. This, combined with a range of early period Beatle costumes and the colourful Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band outfits, give you the complete Beatles experience.
2) The Beatnix was the name of a project started by members of the Beatels before that band was formally started. They recorded a well-known collection of Lennon/McCartney songs called It's Four You, which was released at a time when the original Beatles recordings of those songs had never been officially published. Although the front cover and spine of the CD release do not name a band, the Beatnix drum logo occupies a large portion of the back cover. Soon after the release of this album, the actual Beatles recordings were published as part of the Anthology project.
This band continues to tour as the Beatels, and has played internationally since 1996.

I know the Beatles didn't think too highly of this song, hence why it wasn't released until 1995, but I personally thing this song slaps! And the Beatnix did a great job with this cover.
KID JACKSON
Great version!!

I'm braving it out and am ready to be flamed. I think that this sounds a bit better than the Beatles' recording. Ok, heat shield at the ready. Blast me, go ahead. BLASPHEMY! But I'm serious, I think the Beatnix did a wonderful job here.

@Kcuhc Agreed. I think this song had always been intended by the Beatles to be a "filler track" (hence why it was given to Ringo to sing). This version sounds like the Beatles' version would probably have sounded like had they worked a bit harder on the song.

This version has the energy the Beatle version lacks

I agree

I agree. This version seems tighter and brighter. Then again, the Beatles' recording was never deemed worthy of release and abandoned and never really had a fully finished version.
Parallel Universe The Show
Sounds just like Ringo! Great job 👍
