The Bellamy Brothers Lyrics

Diamond rings and a brand new caddy
Little things to help a girla make trough
What you need are satin pillows
Rivers flowin' down like willows
What you need is me to love you.
You are the kind of a woman
It's simple
Those times you need a man on that, love
You like the finer things
All my money can buy
I like the way your body sings
I love the fire in your eyes.
Diamond rings and a brand new caddy
Little things to help a girla make trough
What you need are satin pillows
Rivers flowin' down like willows
What you need is me to love you.
We could be a secret
Our own private affair
I would give the word to you
Just so you'd know that I care
If your friends should find out
If they tried to prowl
I'll put your pedestal up so high
They wont dare to look down.
What you need
is a Sugar Daddy, a man who can provide you with luxurious items such as diamond rings and a brand new caddy. The singer is offering to be that man for the woman he is singing to. He acknowledges that she is independent and likes to be on her own, but knows that there may be times when she needs someone to support her. The singer believes he can provide her with the finer things in life that she desires, and he loves the passion she brings to their relationship.
The chorus repeats the idea that what this woman needs are these luxurious items, specifically satin pillows and rivers flowing like willows, and the love of the singer. He knows that they may need to keep their relationship a secret because of how people may view it, but he is willing to do whatever it takes to make this woman feel special and loved.

I have to thank my mother for listening to the best music. If it weren't for her, I wouldn't love their songs with my whole soul. This one is my favorite. We all have this girl inside of us somewhere, and they know that. Cool guys in person, BTW. They really are just all around great country musicians.
