Betrayed
The Betrayed Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

i've got to find the time to look back let down so many times before had to find something more i've been pushed aside, but in the end i just keep pushing back been left behind, but i found something more and what i found helped me turn it around but i'll never forget...i understand that look in your eyes and the story of your life tells me that we've travelled different roads but on the same path you've been pushed aside, but in the end you just keep pushing back been left behind, but you found something more and what you found helped you turn it around and what we found wont let us ever forget that we've been betrayed had to find something more i can learn to forgive, but never to forget because we've been betrayed

Overall Meaning

In the lyrics of The Betrayed's song "Betrayed," the singer reflects on their experiences of being let down and pushed aside in the past, and their journey to find something more meaningful. The verses contrast the singer's personal struggle with those of a second person, likely someone close to them, who has also faced difficulties but persevered. Both have been betrayed in some way, perhaps by others or by life itself, but have found something that gave them the strength to keep moving forward.

The chorus maintains a defiant tone, acknowledging the possibility of forgiveness but refusing to forget the pain of being betrayed. The repetition of "something more" reinforces the song's theme of resilience and determination, suggesting that even in the face of hardship, there is always the potential to find and hold onto something that brings meaning and purpose.

Overall, "Betrayed" is a song that speaks to the human experience of struggle and hardship, and the importance of perseverance in the face of adversity.

。✧*.。Music & words can change your mood。✧*.。:
You can absolutely appricate that music touches you heart - but don't listen to music with bad vibes daily yo

I truly started feel at peace when I STOPPED listening to music that have toxic context (same goes with many TV-shows/serier/movies). Because toxic words can make us have toxic thoughts. Lets surround ourselves with kind and positive words like: You are enough<3

So try to not have toxic words (in any form) in your life, instead google up some affirmations. Because if you are surrounded with toxicity, then there’s a huge risk for you to get stuck in a toxic/negative spiral where you lose your true self. In order to connect with your true self, you need to: 1) Observe, 2) Learn and 3) Act/respond

1) Observe: Observe and be aware when there’s any toxicity
2) Learn: What did you learn from it? (For example: If you listened to a song that had toxic context, then remove that song. Because it’s not the song that makes you emotional - it’s the thoughts you have while listening to it
3) Act/respond: React differently next time (For example: Don’t repeat the toxic thing, next time you don’t put on that toxic song again - instead listen to LoFi for example)

Unless we don’t learn something about the toxicity - toxic content affects our thoughts and emotions negatively, toxicity prevents us from growth and being productive (the government wants everybody fighting cause -they know if we all get along we’ll go against them-). The industries wants us brainwashed and distracted. So we need to replace these toxic patterns with healthy patterns: We need to respond and act the opposite of toxic (we need to respond and act with KINDNESS, both towards ourselves and others).
Our purpose in life is to live and learn from the mistakes and therefore make this world BETTER, KINDER and SAFER.

Instead of thinking "Why is this happening to me?" -> think "What can I learn from this?”

Peace and love.
