After a few months writing and recording what would become the 2003 demo “Dark Smiles…” he decided to transform The Black Noodle Project from a solo vehicle into a full band.
Their first album full-length album “And Life Goes On...” was recorded during the summer of 2004 with Arnaud Rousset on drums, Anthony Leteve on bass, Matthieu Jaubert on keyboards and Jeremie on guitars and vocals.
Shortly after the recording sessions, Arnaud left the band and was replaced by drumer Franck Girault. Around this time Sebastien Bourdeix also joined the band as a second guitarist.
This new line-up toured heavily around Paris for a year before starting work on their follow up album. “Play Again” was released in June 2006.
In late 2006 Matthieu announced he was leaving the band. The remaining members decided to carry on without adding a new keyboard player.
Franck Girault left the band in the mid-2007 and was replaced by Fabrice Berger.
They are currently working on new material for their third album to be released in mid-2008.

It′s not like we're dead
Was it something I did?
Was it something you said?
In a city so dead
Held up so high
On such a breakable thread
You were all the things I thought I knew
And I thought we could be
You were everything, everything That I wanted
We were meant to be, supposed to be
But we lost it
All of our memories so close to me
Just fade away
All this time you were pretending
So much for my happy ending
(Oh, oh, oh, oh)
So much for my happy ending
(Oh, oh, oh, oh)
(Oh, oh, oh, oh)
You've got your dumb friends
I know what they say
They tell you I'm difficult
But so are they
But they don′t know me
Do they even know you?
All the things you hide from me
All the stuff that you do?
You were all the things I thought I knew
And I thought we could be
You were everything, everything That I wanted
We were meant to be, supposed to be

So much for my happy ending
(Oh, oh, oh, oh)
It′s nice to know that you were there
Thanks for acting like you cared
And making me feel like I was the only one
It's nice to know we had it all
Thanks for watching as I fall
And letting me know we were done
You were all the things I thought I knew
And I thought we could be
You were everything, everything That I wanted

The Black Noodle Project’s song Happy End is a melancholic reflection on a relationship that has come to an end. The lyrics are filled with questions and doubts as the singer tries to understand what went wrong. They ask if it was something they did or something their partner said that led to the breaking apart. However, despite the attempts at reconciliation, the relationship crumbles, and memories of happy times fade away. The singer feels alone and lost in a city that feels dead, and they wonder if they were ever meant to be in this relationship.
The chorus provides the main message of the song – that their happy ending was not meant to be. The singer had believed that they and their partner were the perfect match, but they discover that it was all just a facade. The happy ending that they had hoped for fades away, and they are left with only memories of what once was.
Overall, Happy End is a poignant reflection on the complexities of relationships and the pain that comes with their ending. It is a song of longing, heartbreak, and the struggle to find closure.
