Nana is like that toxic relationship from the past, the one where you were really emotionaly attached to your partner (in a very unhealthy way), but suddenly everything ended without any explanation. And here you are, ten years later, still remembering, and hurting from time to time, licking your wounds like a stray cat, trying to forget but at the same time still holding onto those memories not really being able to let go just yet. It's not that you didn't love eachother, because you did! It was passionate, you had beautiful ups and terrible downs, but you still managed to stay together for a long time. It ended fast, and you never got any explanation, an official ending, anything! Just unanswered questions... And the feeling that you will never be 100% okay as long as you don't close that chapter.

I'm watching Nana for the first time, 4 episodes left to the end, and I'm very sad that the series is coming to an end. This ED has soaked into my soul. I got goosebumps every time this song started to play. Thanks to Anna Tsuchiya for such a wonderful soundtrack. Words cannot describe what kind of vivid emotions Nana evoked in me... Like an extreme ride on an emotional rollercoster. I finally found an anime that impressed me as much as Monster did.

This song is full of Nana’s feelings. She hates being weak and she always have to put fake smiles to her face just to look strong. It was all her life. She can’t stand herself. She always depend on others and feels so lonely when Ren or Yasu not around.

Now Ren died, she can’t take it, and leaves everyone and everyhing behind. Even her Vivienne Westwood jacket and Ren’s guitar... She knows it’s selfish of her but at least that way she doesn’t depend on others and become a burden. She justs sings alone on the stage and this is enough for her.

Edit: sorry if I spoiled it for you but the manga came out 20 years ago and it’s on hiatus for over 10 years. You had plenty of time to read it. Stop whining about it. It’s like trying to avoid Shawshank Redemption’s ending which the protagonist escapes the prison by the way.

Naomi Segueda car crash against his and Nana’s old place. He hallucinated a cat as Nana due to drug addiction. The accident was so severe only his hand were fine (since he protected it before he dies) other parts even his face were so severe it made him unrecognizable.

I really enjoy Ai Yazawa's works, I've read Gokinjo no Mongatari, Paradise Kiss and Nana, she is a master story teller and an amazing artist with unique style, just an inspiration for other artist like me, it's shame Nana couldn't be continued.

I feel like this anime and, most of all, this song and the other opening called Rose, had given me the biggest depression that I could ever have. It has been 10-14 years since I first watched and read NaNa...and ever since that first day. NaNa has been a part of me. This is the best Nana edit I've ever watched, I can't even describe all the sensations it gives me. I think the sound and the lyrics of the song perfectly represent Nana Osaki' soul and struggles, along with her relationship with Hachi. The soft voice, the clips, the plot...amazingly touching, it should be the official Nana song

i first started watching 'nana' when i was 17, back then i didnt finished watched only first few episodes. not gonna say, i didnt finish it bc i didnt like it. maybe i wasnt emotionally ready for that at that time.
then, at my 20s, i found 'nana' again and watched it. now im kinda glad that i didnt watched it earlier bc only now im able to understand this anime fully. im not emotional person or dont relate any of this characters. so thats why, it was really difficult for me to understand them.

now i wonder....do people really feel like this irl too?

They do have an album for the anime. It's called Nana Best. I bought it on Amazon a few months ago. There are 14 songs!
