The music can be described as hard and melodic with celtic influences. The band members are Mac Loud (vocals), Mac Hoze (highland bagpipe), D.Dee (drums), Mac Touche (guitar), Mac Pië (bass). We are all crazy about celtic culture but also about hard, uncomplicated music and we try to combine these influences in our songs. Nearly all "clan tartans" were invented and published in the (in)famous Vestiarium Scoticum in 1842. Before then, there were very few tartans associated with families or clans, save a few highland families. Few Lowland and borderland Scots ever saw a kilt, let alone wore one. Most tartan patterns (setts) prior to 1700 were associated with particular regions, where they were especially popular (a gray houndstooth type tartan was prevalent along the Scottish Border, for example). None of this invalidates the clan tartans we have today: all traditions were invented at some point. And after nearly two centuries, these new tartans have become traditions in their own right. Plus the ladies like kilts, so enjoy.
