Everybody
Everybody
Everybody
Everybody
Everybody
I'm not just talking about my mind and my money
Im saying before it has time to catch up with me, and you.
How come this aint getting through to you?
I'm not just saying this about you or me, its about everybody.
I'm talking about everybody!
I'm talking about Hell, Heaven, love, aggression.
You understand?
Finally!
Everybody
Everybody
Everybody
Everybody
Finally!

Overall Meaning

The Boy Wunda's song "Everybody" appears to be a call for self-awareness and reflection, as well as a statement about the universality of certain human experiences. The repetition of the word "everybody" emphasizes the idea that the things being discussed are relevant to every single person, regardless of any perceived differences or individuality. The line "I'm not just talking about my mind and my money" suggests that the song is about more than just material success or intellectual pursuits; rather, it seems to be about the human experience as a whole.

The verse "I'm saying before it has time to catch up with me, and you / How come this ain't getting through to you?" suggests that the artist feels as though he is ahead of the game, somehow more self-aware or enlightened than others, and is frustrated that some people don't seem to understand his message. However, he quickly clarifies that the message isn't just about him or his audience, but about "everybody." The inclusion of references to "Hell, Heaven, love, aggression" suggests that the themes being explored are universal and timeless.

Overall, "Everybody" seems to encourage listeners to take a step back and consider their place in the world, and how their experiences and emotions are shared by people from all walks of life.

Was 15 when this came out and heard this at a teen club I used to go to around 2000. Knew it was from papa don’t preach but couldn’t find the name of this song for years. Jam

glad you finally found me

@dwcoolit

The old lady in green is my mum (Hazel White)...she died in 2018, but it's so cool she was in this vid, she also was in Nickelback's Rockstar video...

@Waxadisc

. She was a very vibrant lady. Full of life I remember on the day we recorded it. We filmed this on a massive barge on the river Thames in Chelsea. I've got photos of her that were documented on the day. If you want them let me know

One of those songs I spent years searching for, banger.

@Devoted_believer

Same as me mate, I had to google everybody from 1999 to 2000, I didn't know what the name of The tune was haha

@RudryDJ

I'm glad it wasn't just me then! :D I first heard this tune at my mates house, NYE 2000 (popping my Technics cherry!)... Genuinely since then I've only ever been able to place the classical synth loop (can't place the piece of music) but never enough to name the track! Only taken me twenty fucking years of searching! :D Absolutely excellent tune, thank you internet! Haha!
