The first single from 1967 Tomorrow is another day / My world fell down (two songs from the British The Ivy League) enters the charts.
1968 was a great year for the band: It's the end comes to number 4 in the charts and also the singles Sister Theresa's East River Orphanage, Lovely Loretta, and Goodbye my love reach the top 40. The first album Lookin 'Ahead sells well .
In 1969, appears to reverse the trend. The group is still publicized by visiting John Lennon during his bed-in with Yoko Ono at the Hilton Hotel in Amsterdam, but the singles from The Buffoons pick the charts anymore.
Then announces the first of many line-up changes themselves: De Groot is replaced by Jack van Rossum (including a former member of the Indo-rock band The Crazy Rockers). Within a year following Assink and Luiten, replaced by drummer Boy Brostowsky (also a former member of The Crazy Rockers) and guitarist Don Biesbroek (who had played Pee White & The Magic Strangers). Ely van Tongeren takes the bass in hand.
In 1973, the band has a big hit with My girl Donna Ritchie Valens (number 3 in the Top 40). The two following singles Arizona and Let it be me come into the Top 20, but after scoring The Buffoons no more hits.
During a European tour of The Beach Boys The Buffoons was proposed that would provide for the program. That fell through when they felt that The Buffoons the repertoire of The Beach Boys sang better that The Beach Boys themselves.

Because
The Buffoons Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Because the world is round...
Because the wind is high it blows my mind...
Because the wind is high...
Love is old, love is new
Love is all, love is you
Because the sky is blue, it makes me cry...
Because the sky is blue...
The lyrics of The Buffoons's song, "Because" are an ode to the ultimate beauty of the world we live in. The world's round shape and the high wind arouses the singer's senses and makes him aware of the grandeur of nature. The mention of the blue sky brings a sense of vulnerability to the lyrics, as it might make one melancholic, yet it overwhelms the singer's emotions. The song is also a tribute to love, and how it's evergreen, all-encompassing, and an integral part of the world.
The mention of the round world might be a nod to the Beatle's song, "Across The Universe." Both songs suggest the interconnectedness of the world and how nothing is separate. The simple yet profound lyrics of "Because" are a celebration of nature, love, and the beauty of the world.
