Get on the train that'll take me home
That old train is where I belong
Home's gonna feel just fine
When that old trains gonna move me down the line
Yes I know him and you do too
There's a lot he can do for you
Gonna make you feel alright
Just let him keep his arms around you tight
He gave this world to you and me
We're going fishing in the creek
So find yourself a little girl
The world's gonna be alright
Just keep you arms around each other tight
"The Train Song" is a song about a man's desire to go back to his roots, to where he feels he belongs. He has been away from home for a long time, and he longs to return to his hometown where he can be at peace. He is counting down the days until he can board that old familiar train that he knows so well. He describes the train as his home, as if it's a warm and comforting embrace that will take him back to where he belongs.

Jimmy Page's white dragon suit he wore onstage in the 1970s after he became a junkie was evidently inspired by and derived from Gram Parson's white Nudie suit he wears here, the suit that depicts Gram's fave drugs. Jimmy liked Gram's red opium poppies best and put some similar blossoms on his own white suit, adding a dragon.
