1. The Chicks is the new name adopted in June 2020 by the band formerly known as Dixie Chicks, a massively succesful American country music group that had crossed to other genres.
2. The Chicks were a New Zealand duo consisting of the sisters Suzanne and Judy Donaldson. They had a steam of pop hits in in their country between 1965 and 1970. Suzanne married Bruce Lynch and records as Suzanne Lynch. They are the parents of Andy Lynch from the New Zealand band Zed.
3. The Chicks were a shortlived pop-punk act in the late 1990s, made up of three teenage Irish girls. They arrived in a blaze of N.M.E. features and an Ash support slot, but disappeared as quickly and enigmatically as they arrived. They left behind two EPs and the bubblegum pop song, Let Me Go.

You know he's about to leave but don't panic
Don't give him the satisfaction that you can't handle it
Breathe
It'll be okay
And Harper hold on
To the piece you know he's gonna try to take when he's gone
Breathe
It'll be okay
Just put on, put on, put on your best shoes
And strut the fuck around like you've got nothing to lose
Show off, show off, show off your best moves
And do it with a smile so he doesn't know it's
Put on, put on, put on
Put on, put on
Don't think about his lips
How every time he'd kiss you, you'd tremble
Try to only think about the bad things you remember
Breathe
It'll be okay
I guess this is the time to remind you
Sometimes what's going through your head
Is just a temporary situation
And light will soon be shed oh
Just put on, put on, put on your best shoes
And strut the fuck around like you've got nothing to lose
Show off, show off, show off your best moves
And do it with a smile so that no one knows it's
Put on, put on, put on
Put on, put on, put on
Put on, put on, put on
Put on, put on
And Katie calm down
You know there'll come a time you think you can't handle it
But dig deep and know that you can handle it
Breathe
It'll be okay
And Eva hold on
To everything you know to be true
Don't let the wolves get the best of you
Breathe
You're gonna make it through
So just put on, put on, put on your best shoes
And strut the fuck around like you've got nothing to lose
Show off, show off, show off your best moves
And do it with a smile so that no one knows it's
Put on, put on, put on
Put on, put on, put on, yeah
Put on, put on, put on, oh
Put on, put on
I guess this is the time to remind you
Sometimes what's going through your head
Is just a temporary situation
And light will soon be shed
Just put on, put on, put on
Put on, put on, put on, yeah
Put on, put on, put on, yeah
Put on, put on
And Violet calm down
And Juno calm down
And Yaya calm down
And Berta calm down
Hesper calm down
And Amelia calm down

The lyrics of "Julianna Calm Down" by The Chicks convey a message of encouragement and strength in the face of a difficult situation. The song addresses individual women, including Julianna, Harper, Katie, Eva, Violet, Juno, Yaya, Berta, Hesper, Amelia, Naomi, and Julianna (again), urging them to stay calm and composed in moments of turmoil.
The song's opening lines emphasize the importance of not panicking when someone is about to leave. It urges the listener not to give the satisfaction of showing vulnerability or weakness but to instead handle the situation with grace and composure. The refrain of "breathe, it'll be okay" reinforces the message of finding inner peace and reassurance.
The subsequent verses offer specific advice to each woman mentioned in the song. Harper is told to hold on to a piece of herself that someone may try to take away once they're gone. It advises not to dwell on the memories of their love but to focus on the negative aspects instead. The lyrics also remind that challenging times are temporary and that the light will soon shine through.
Throughout the song, the chorus emphasizes the importance of putting on one's best shoes, metaphorically encouraging each woman to confidently move forward with their lives, showing off their best moves and facing challenges with a smile. The song ends by repeating the names of various women, further emphasizing the message that strength and resilience are universal and shared experiences.
Overall, "Julianna Calm Down" delivers an empowering message of self-assurance and resilience, urging women to stay calm, hold on to their inner strength, and face difficulties head-on.

Hearing the phrase “calm down” come from a place of love going from woman to woman really changes its whole connotation and it feels healing. This album is going to be incredible 🌸

Exactly what the other two commenters have said. I've never heard the phrase "calm down" or "breathe" in such a way that is comforting and loving, and from a stranger, no less. This song hits in a way I didn't think was possible. Thank you for putting my feelings into words much better and more eloquently than I could have hoped to.

As a man I had a similar reaction. For reasons not related to my gender, I have extreme difficulty with the phrase. This song expresses it in such a beautiful way...

Clare exact same sentiment! Thank you for putting this into words

Julianna and Violet are Emily's daughters. Katie, Eva, and Harper are Martie's daughters. The others are probably nieces or friends. So it's an advice/wisdom song dedicated to their daughters about how to handle heartbreak, obviously gleaned from their own experience. Beautiful concept!
