The current members are Shay Veno (guitar/vocals), Jane Hilton (fiddle/vocals), Billy Brett (mandolin/vocals) and Pat Hershey (acoustic bass). Former members include Paul Knight (vocals/bodhran) and Brian Dwyer (bass).
The odd spelling of the name is a pun referring to the County Clare in Ireland.

Their 1999 debut, "Pass it On", featured a number of traditional Irish tunes as well as the original songs "Pass it On", "The Dangerous Ones", "The Poet and the Soldier", "Danny Boy RIP" and "William Waits". All were written by frontman Shay Veno. Additionally, "Pass it on" includes a hidden track with the scathing hate ballad "I hope you Die", also known as "Lets Be Friends" and "Sensitive Love Song". In 2005, "The Dangerous Ones" was included on the soundtrack to an independent film entitled "Little Victim" starring Robert Wagner.
The 2004 follow-up "County USA" also featured an assortment of Traditional and original songs. Originals included the title track, "Song of the Bottle" and "The Night the Pub Burned Down", all by Shay Veno. Additionally there is an original song entitled "Guardian Angel" written by Billy Brett. Two instrumental originals were also included. "The Widdley Reel" by Jane Hilton and Shay Veno" and "Marcia's Waltzes" by Jane Hilton.
Live Shows
During their live shows, the devoted fans and friends of the band (known as "Voyantmaniacs") perform a number of truly bizarre "audience participation" rituals. Those who have never seen a Clare Voyants performance likely feel they have stepped into a grotesque alternate reality governed by Irish "Rocky Horror Picture Show" fans. This all adds to the fun, and the lively atmosphere of a Clare Voyants show.
In addition to the traditionals and Originals, the Voyants perform quite a few well-chosen cover tunes. These include a number of songs by Shane McGowan, Christy Moore, the Waterboys, Bob Dylan, U2, Woody Guthrie, Johnny Cash, Simon and Garfunkel, Finbar Furey and Bob Marley.
The Clare Voyants disbanded at the end of 2006. All artists continue to play around the Phoenix Metropolitan area.

Notes from my BWCV experience:
- Remember how helpful those immunities are. BWCV can handle Caltrops, Biohazard, Freezer Burn, and many others. I'm vaguely remembering the new Shifting Hazard node is Poison and Incinerate, is that right?
- the damage from sp2 in hellfire is pretty substantial. I'd recommend finishing off shorter fights with an sp2 in this phase, or using it in any situation where you don't need the healing or power control from the other two phases (and you don't need the immunities from the other two either). Oh yeah and don't forget incinerate reduces block proficiency!
- BWCV really does benefit from suicides a ton. I would not recommend ranking her past 3/45 or at all as a 6-star unless you just love her THAT much, or you have the suicide masteries. They are just THAT helpful.
- The only synergies I have really made use of with Claire are the one with herself (just a nice bonus for anybody when fighting villains) and the one with Ghost Rider, which reduces the duration of buffs on all opponents by 30%. Then again I mostly ran this because I had blade on my team as well, and mainly for act 5 exploration, but it would have its uses elsewhere, such as the 6.2 Champion boss. I don't usually run the other synergies because:
- w/ Black Widow - This one could actually be quite useful, but I usually find myself throwing the sp3 so I can get more power from Clairvoyance Charge gain, or just finishing the fight outright with it.
- w/ burny bois - I haven't really encountered a place where I needed Slow against an Incinerate-immune champ. Could be useful for some fights in a Footloose path or something else with unstoppable and a few incinerate immunes, but most of the time I just use her buff immunity to get around this, or use a different champ (like my other bae Spider-Gwen) (then i remember that slow stops evade and evades are usually passive... so there's where it could be useful...)
- w/ Vision Laggus - 15% less power isn't really worth it for me. Then again I don't have laggus at any star level so maybe that contributed to it.
- w/ Dr Strange - I usually have to bait out a special soon after throwing my sp2, so I don't really want the stun. Then again I don't really use the plague sp2... I don't really use her for power control.
Still, great job on this Katy. You ever looking at doing a collaboration with someone on one of these videos one day? (dang now that I thought of this, I would have loved to collab with you on this video... well too late for that now)

Thanks for highlighting my girl Claire, she was my first R5. Totally shuts down most of the Cosmic class, especially love demolishing Annihilus cosmic rod.
My favorite interaction is putting the SP2 on Juggernaut, the Buff Immunity prevents his Unstoppable and if it tries to trigger it feeds your charges and gains you more power. Same with heavy buff champs like Venom, Heimdall, Hyperion etc.
For Hyperion switch to Poison curse and throw poison heavies for maximum power gain, then drop your SP2 to prevent his Power Gain buff and repeat.
In short if your opponent has a Bleed/Poison/Incinerate immunity or debuffs, switch your curse to it and wreck them.
