Very beautiful music. My oldest brother introduced us to the Classic IV's music in the early 70's. He came back from Vietnam with a reel-to-reel tape player and played Traces, Stormy and other nostalgic songs like it. He would lay in bed listening to this music over and over. I think he missed his many friends that he left behind in the war, and this music helped him get over those Memories.

My high school sweetheart recently passed away, and her daughter sent me photographs from the 1960s, as well as a couple of letters I wrote to her so many years ago. We both married others, but we have kept in touch over the ensuing years. I was surprised by how hard her passing hit me! Our music touched your Heart, Spirit, Body, Mind and Soul, and basically talked about caring about people. The formula got lost somewhere, between then and now. Yeh, the 60's and 70's, best music ever, Rock N" Roll was in it's youth and talked about love more than anything. Today stuff is basically an assault on the senses, there's a reason it's all streaming, none of it is worth buying, but the streamers are getting rich !!

I was about 13 when this song was released and had my whole life ahead of me. Now nearly 50 years later I'm much closer to my end than my beginning. Traces invokes a tide of memories, that tend to overwhelm me. Some are good, some bad but all cause me to lament parts of my past and what once was but will never be again. Still love this song though.
