@Ahmed Bingha I try not to get bogged down in arguments over who is the best player. I don't always succeed. But it's kind of a waste of breath, isn't it? The best player in the world will fail if his team isn't up to snuff. Team sports are like that. And that makes comparisons difficult.
Historical comparisons are even more fruitless; the game has changed so much, different rules, different training, different budgets, everything about the sport has changed. Apples and oranges.
I think this much is inarguable: Curry altered the way the NBA plays, recruits, trains, the whole ball of wax. Hell, he even changed how the world plays basketball; kids are more earnestly trying to master jump shots from beyond the arc, and lo, some of them are succeeding! NBA teams used to pack the paint with tall defenders, now they're putting a premium on skillful defending at the arc and resorting to a lot of small-ball lineups.
Several other players have changed how the NBA plays, of course. Magic introduced to us the tall, fast passing point guard, and his passing legerdemain has been much imitated. Jordan spawned dunking imitators. And so forth. But Curry looms as large as any of them in terms of his impact. It's a different game today, and Curry was the catalyst.
Did Ja Morant change the league? Not one bit. He followed in others' footsteps. And that's okay! He's skillful and fun to watch, and I can't ask for more than that.
Curry is a shoe-in for the Hall of Fame. It's too early to say if Ja Morant will make it to the Hall of Fame, but early indications are positive.
We'll just have to watch the games and see what happens! Oh, the burden! :P

@Ahmed Bingha It's a team sport, not an individual one. Morant doesn't have to equal Curry individually; he just needs his team to do better than Curry's team.
They did.
Memphis did a great job defending Curry. He was still a massive threat - but they succeeded quite often in getting the ball out of his hands and forcing someone else to take shots.
Which didn't fall. Game, Memphis. Good strategy. Morant did his part, too. He's a great player.
But he's no Steph Curry. Not at this stage in his career. In the future, we'll see.
