Read Full Bio ↴There are (or have been) at least five artists called The Diplomats.
1. The by far most popular group called The Diplomats (also known as Dipset) are a Harlem, New York-based group who previously signed to Roc-A-Fella Records, but now are signed to own label Diplomats Record. Founded by rappers Cam'ron and Jim Jones, the group released their debut album Diplomatic Immunity under their imprint Diplomat Records.
Diplomat Records also distribute artist Cam'ron through Asylum Records. Under Koch Entertainment, Jim Jones, Juelz Santana, 40 Cal., Freekey Zekey, J.R. Writer, Hell Rell, Un Kasa and Jha Jha are also signed on as members of The Diplomats record label. London-based duo, S.A.S, are also part of The Diplomats. Another member, Jay Bezel, is signed to Sure Shot Records. The group's sophomore album Diplomatic Immunity 2 was released under Koch Entertainment. Juelz Santana currently is the only member still signed to Diplomat Records and Def Jam Records.
One of the defining elements of the Diplomats' music is the innovative slang they have incorporated into their lyrics. The broader hip-hop community has accepted and utilized many of their terms, including "doggie,", "no homo", "piff," "huff," "u mad?", "move the movement", "off' wit' Ya' Kufi Smacker", "goonies goo goo,", "duck tales", "family matters", and "coochie rap". They also coined the greeting, "What's Really Good?". Many of the rappers were signed, and were premiered in mixtapes, but the Diplomats did not become exclusive until 2003 with their cd Diplomatic Immunity. In previous music videos when Cam'ron was starting his career you could see fellow diplomats like Jim Jones or Freeky Zeeky. The Diplomats have also gained notable street credability through their mixtapes, especially in New York, and have made a small fortune through mixtape sales. They also have their own brand of Liquor, Sizzurp.

[Verse 1]
Everybody out at the "Rock The Mic" tour (Word?)
I'm back in the kitchen rocking the white raw (Right!)
Coping your pie for
Locking your nice doors
I pop up in like four wit chicken that like gores
They click if they like war
Fixing to fight for, me
Look at my ice for sure your sight sore (Whoa)
We all wearing links
As I prepare a drink
Glare and think how I got the whole new york wearing pink
Girls they stare and wink, how I flare the mink
Drop the top
Pop a throttle
Hock a glock
Pop a bottle (bottle)
Seen "Paid In Full", now I'm up in "Blockbuster"(Busta!)
And I'm paid in full, still on the block busta
'94 rock "Rucker", '01 rob "Rucker"
Shoguns show guns, Blow one, you're not gutta
Little inside joke for you cocksuckas (sucka)
My Block, sucka, pop corn and hot butta
Like its the movie theater
But its the oozie area

[Sample of female singing in background Overlaping]

Aim! Shoot!
(Y'all some dead motherfuckers)
[Repeat Twice]
[Verse 2]
I bitch straight up, get in the car (Oh Shit!)
I'm the shit in the car
I do like Alfre-do, shit in your car
Pop-a-squat in the drop
Take a drop in the drop
While you dropping the top, unlocking your locks
Damn!
Last year y'all got a mask in your ride
Y'all imagine its hard, y'all asking for jobs (Jobs?)
Realize I'm attached to the mob
Selling crack in the park, building sacks in the Saab
And chrome, give you skin burns
Leave your dome like ringworms (Worms)
And niggaz coming home, they my interns
We the cake couple, put together great puzzles
Hood they love us, the hood together we stay subtle
Juggle bubble, why you niggaz hate tussles? (Y'all don't wanna fight)
I didn't always hustle, I was Ma$e muscle
He had the ones so he bought the body

Done son off in the lobby (Finished)
I stay wit the gun shooters, drum movers
Raazoo Kahlua turn one ruler to son doola
And the same brother that you knew
Came through in the rain same color as +Yoohoo+ (Y'all don't know)
Now you know that's the same color as doo doo (Shit)

[Sample of female singing in background Overlaping]
Killa....Killa
Dipset!
[Chorus]
Killa!
The Diplomats' "Dead Muthafuckas" is a gangsta rap song that portrays the group's lifestyle, centered around drug dealing, violence, and material success. Cam'Ron raps about how he's been in the game for a long time and is still on top, as he boasts about his white raw and chicken-lined pockets, with his crew wearing chains and pink clothing that serves as a status symbol. In his lyrics, he refers to watching the movie "Paid in Full" and being paid in full as he continues his drug-dealing lifestyle, as well as various allusions to violence and murder, like "leave your dome like ringworms."
Furthermore, the female singing that occurs intermittently in the background serves as a foil to Cam'Ron's harsh rap, which suggests that women are a source of pleasure and enjoyment and have a lesser role than men in the gangsta rap lifestyle. The chorus emphasizes the allusion to guns, as it exclaims, "Jump back, Glock Cock, Aim, Shoot. (Y'all some dead motherfuckers)." The two rappers, Cam'Ron and Juelz Santana, celebrate the gangster way of life that is often characterized by violence, seen through the weaponization of their lyrics and dance beats.
Overall, "Dead Muthafuckas" presents the narrative of stereotypical gangsta lives, showcasing their power, wealth, and willingness to use violence in order to maintain their dominance.
