Love Love Love
The Dominoes Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

There is no greater love
Than what I feel for you
No greater love,
No heart so true

There is no greater thrill
Than what you bring to me
No sweeter song
Than what you sing to me

You're the sweetest thing
I have ever known
And to think that
You are mine alone.

There is no greater love
In all the world, it's true
No greater love
Than what I feel for you

You're the sweetest thing
I have ever known,
And to think that
You are mine alone.

There is no greater love
In all the world, it's true

No greater love
Than what I feel for you

Lyrics:

If im-e floatin' air
While all all the people stop and stare, oh,
Love, love, love, what have you done?
We were two now you made us one

I never knew one tender kiss
Could ever make me feel like this
Love, love, love, love, love, I need you so
Hold me now and don't let me go

When you're away i'm lonely
And life is very cold
I need your kiss that's sunny(?)
to satisfy my soul

So, baby, run into my arms
And let me hold your many charms, oh,
Love, love, love, love, love you're sending me
Love, love, love, how great can you be?

When you're away i'm lonely
And life is very cold
I need your kiss that's sunny(?)
To satisfy my soul

So, baby, run into my arms
And let me hold your many charms, oh,
Love, love, love, love, love you're sending me
Love, love, love, how great can you be?

Why would it be fast?

Now that makes sense, I was familiar with the fact the older recordings didn't have standard speeds, but Federal is by 78 standards, a modern company.

I mentioned that it was because it was an old recording.. This was recorded before I had a 'better' turntable, on an old Garrard record player. These types of record players typically run a little fast. That's it! lol. Records released in the early 1900's into the 1920's, the speed tends to vary a bit, but in the 50's, 78 was a standardized speed, and no variations occurred, for the most part.

im guessing the reason is due to the fact old 78's were not usually recorded at exactly 78rpm. it could very well be too fast or too slow.
