The Expendables Lyrics

Can't believe that you can't see
She is taking you for a ride that you can believe
But should I say a thing?
Gonna hurt a little more than a sting
When it's over you'll be glad that she is gone
Do you think she wont know?
Trust me on this, it is the best thing you can do
Are you gone and figuring to say that it's okay
Time to put this bitch in her place
You think that shes the one (shes the one)
But all this time she's having too much fun
But still you do nothing
You think it doesn't phase you
But you know she's playing you
Still you do nothing
Falling into deep depression
No strength for your souls aggression
I don't know how much more you can take
And it ain't to my surprise
Mess around with other guys
How much longer can you look the other way?
Pain is eating at you
I don't know what you're going through
But whatever it is, we can work it out
Struggling to find an end
How much more can you pretend?
Gotta call it quits before shes broken you
You think that shes the one (shes the one)
But all this time she's having too much fun
But still you do nothing
You think it doesn't phase you
But you know she's playing you
Still you do nothing
You think that shes the one (shes the one)
But all this time she's having too much fun
But still you do nothing
You think it doesn't phase you
But you know she's playing you
Still you do nothing
You think that shes the one (shes the one)
But all this time she's having too much fun
But still you do nothing
You think it doesn't phase you
But you know she's playing you
Still you do nothing
The Expendables' song "Succubus" is a warning to a friend who is being taken for a ride by a manipulative and self-serving woman. The lyrics express concern for the friend's well-being and urge them to take action before it's too late. The opening lines, "She don't mean much to me, can't believe that you can't see," reveal the singer's frustration with the friend for not recognizing the true nature of the woman they are involved with. The chorus drives home the message that the woman is not to be trusted, as the friend continues to ignore the warning signs and refuses to take action.
The lyrics suggest that the friend is falling into a deep depression and losing their strength for standing up for themselves. The singer acknowledges the pain that their friend is experiencing and offers support, saying, "we can work it out." However, the situation will only continue to worsen if the friend doesn't take action and put an end to the toxic relationship. The song ends with a final plea for the friend to wake up and see the truth about the woman they are with.
Overall, the lyrics of "Succubus" are warning the friend of the dangers of being with a manipulative and selfish partner. It's a call to action for the listener to take control of their own life and break free from an unhealthy relationship.
