Renee Phoenix, 20, lead singer and rhythm guitarist, has been playing for well over 10 years and has grown up listening to such bands as Garbage, No Doubt and Metallica. While attending the University of North Florida, she decided to form the band by first recruiting friend Jarrod Welsh, 20, percussion, who has also been playing for over 10 years with his primary musical influence being Slipknot. Kevin Vu, 20, lead guitarist, has been practicing his craft for 5 years with not only being a player, but a teacher as well. It was then that Kevin’s long-time friend Noah Ray, 18, bassist, decided to hop on board contributing his 5 years of musical experience to the group. Everyone brings something different to the table as they have each grown up listening to different genres of music, which only adds to the diversity and uniqueness of their overall sound.
