The Fallen State was raised in the Autumn of 2013... when five young men with a mutual love for powerful, anthemic and beautifully executed rock, found themselves in a room together. For these guys togetherness isn't just a dream but a reality… they have that extra, indescribable ‘musical magic’ tattooed across their songs… the artistic ink of five individuals harmonised into something greater than the parts.
Individually, they’ve graced stages with the likes of Alter Bridge, Heaven’s Basement and Clutch… they live for the live show, with their stylish take on the musical legacy of both sides of the Atlantic.
Musically, The Fallen State combine the exuberant, smooth and soulful voice of frontman Ben Stenning with a harmonic wall of warm, contemporary rock guitars. Add the artfully emotive phrasing of lead six-stringer Jon Price - not to mention a grooving, ruthless rhythm section - and there can only be one outcome… infectious, body-rocking songs that'll leave crowds hungry for more.

The Fallen State Lyrics

And everything is falling apart
This home is the place I was meant to be
Cos all we have is who we are
Whether I've been fighting stand or fall
It doesn't matter anymore
Distaste starts and grows
As the acid rain starts to fall upon me bound and like a storm
No don't take it from
I beat this sorrow for so long
It won't be my swan song
It's so unnerving
And if it's all I can be
I need the fragments to come home
I need them for my soul
Or I won't grow
A shadows clouds in the same stark misery
A storm will tear us hurling apart
And that sound is a pain filled memory
Another little surface gone
Whether I've been fighting stand or fall
It doesn't matter anymore
Distaste starts and grows
As the acid rain starts to fall upon me bound and like a storm
When everything is lost and I feel lonely on my own
No don't take it from
I beat this sorrow for so long
It won't be my swan song
It's so unnerving
And if it's all I can be
I need the fragments to come home
I need them for my soul
Or I won't grow
Lash out when the fascinations gone
A dark cloud is a revelation
Far beyond the storm
Far beyond the storm
Black out as the passion starts to grow
Fragments of a new religion
Far beyond the storm
Far beyond the storm
Shot down but I'm right back at it again
The fallen state's song Fragments appears to be about a person who is at a crossroads in their life. They are feeling lost and uncertain about their future. The opening line "This carves through the stone at the edge of me" suggests that the person is being forced to confront some uncomfortable truths about themselves. The lines "And everything is falling apart" and "This home is the place I was meant to be" suggest that the person is experiencing a crisis in their personal life and turning to their surroundings for comfort.
However, the chorus of the song suggests that the person is determined to overcome their current struggles. They sing "No don't take it from me, I beat this sorrow for so long, it won't be my swan song." This suggests a sense of resilience and determination. The line "I need the fragments to come home" suggests that the person is searching for something that will help them make sense of their life and move forward in a positive way.
The second verse of the song seems to reinforce the idea that the person is struggling with inner turmoil. The lines "A shadows clouds in the same stark misery, a storm will tear us hurling apart" suggest that the person is surrounded by negative thoughts and emotions. The repeated refrain of "Far beyond the storm" suggests that the person is hoping to find a way out of their current troubles.
