Form… Read Full Bio ↴The Fiestas were an American R&B group from Newark, New Jersey.
Formed in 1958, The Fiestas signed to Old Town Records in 1959 after the label's owner, Hy Weiss, overheard the group singing in a bathroom adjacent to his office in Harlem. Their debut single was 1959's "So Fine"; the tune was a hit in the U.S., hitting #3 on the Black Singles chart and #11 on the Billboard Hot 100. A series of soul singles followed from the group, among them "Last Night I Dreamed", "You Could Be My Girlfriend", "Anna", and "Think Smart", but only 1962's "Broken Heart" managed to chart, hitting #18 on the Black Singles chart.
Leaving Old Town, the group later recorded for Strand and Vigor, releasing music into the mid-1970s.

So fine, yeah
My baby's so doggone fine
She loves me, come rain, come shine
Oh, oh yeah, so fine
She thrills me, she thrills me
She thrills me, yeah
She sends those chills up and down my spine
Oh, oh yeah, so fine
Well, I know
She loves me so
Well, I know
Because my baby tells me so, oh, oh so fine
So fine
So fine, yeah
My baby's so doggone fine
She sends those chills up and down my spine
Oh, oh yeah, so fine
Well, I know
She loves me so
Well, I know
Because my baby tells me so, oh, oh so fine
She's so fine
She's so fine, yeah
My baby's so doggone fine
She sends those chills up and down my spine
Oh, oh yeah, so fine
She's so fine
She's so fine
She's so fine
She's so fine
She's so fine
The Fiestas' song "You're So Fine" is a classic example of a love song, with its simple yet catchy tune and straightforward lyrics expressing admiration for a girl who is truly special. The song begins with the repetitive phrase "so fine" which is used to describe the singer's significant other. The use of a repetitive phrase helps to emphasize the subject of the song and create a sense of hypnotic urgency that is both captivating and mesmerizing.
The repetition of the phrase "so fine" is then followed by the assertion that his girl loves him no matter what- "She loves me, come rain, come shine". This line speaks to the constant reassurance and feeling of security in a loving relationship. The chorus repeats the same "so fine" phrase and adds the thought that the girl "thrills" him all the time. This could represent the way love and excitement can become so innate that it becomes part of everyday life.
The verse after the chorus again confirms the deep love and commitment between both parties involved- the singer is sure that his girl loves him because she tells him. The song ends on a repetition of the chorus with a slight variation in melody which symbolizes the lasting impression of his love for her.

The music didn't go anywhere. The people did. Their loss, not the music's.
SharkOSix
its a mix of rock and roll and the blues it still exists although I do think the older generations did it better

@SharkOSix it’s how they mixed it. All music is derivative of other music I realize, but there was just something so pure about this era. No digital effects, no sampling, no autotune, just music.
