The Fullblast disbanded in 2006, they left the following message explaining on their MySpace:
After 6 years, 5 releases, 9 members, 2 fill-ins, hundreds of thousands of kilometers and hopefully a few smiles, The Fullblast is done.
Essentially, our drummer Andy has decided to join our friends Boys Night Out as guitarist. We will spare everyone the details of how things have gone down, but suffice it to say that it surprised us all, and disappointed, we dont feel like the band can move forward without him. We have all agreed that The Fullblast is to be laid to rest.
We would like to extend our thanks to everyone that has helped us out over the years our families, our friends, our girlfriends (current or past), bands, our associates, and most importantly, the fans. There arent many bands keeping the dream of fast music alive anymore, and to those of you that continue to support punk rock, we thank you.
Our greatest hope is that weve inspired something in some of you. Musically, personally or whatever, we hope that we have touched you in some way in the last 6 years. We take great pride in the amount of hard work and passion weve devoted to this over the years, and we hope that our legacy is as a band that worked for any and all successes.
It seems almost ironic that this band was born out of a love for the band Lifetime their passion, their commitment to making a difference in punk rock. Just as theyre resurrecting themselves, The Blast is winding down.
JW youre always in our thoughts, and I really wish we could have hit it big for you. Youre one of our greatest inspirations, and we will take our relationship with you through life in whatever we do. We miss you big man.
Unfortunately, it seems like the circumstances surrounding this breakup will not give us the opportunity to have a last show. We really wish things could have ended in a different manner, allowing us to properly end something that weve worked so hard for.
There are no immediate plans for the rest of us in our musical careers, but you can bet that after working for 6 years, none of us are done playing in bands or being involved in the music scene. So keep an eye out for us, you never know where we might pop up.
Once again, thanks to everyone who has helped us out and supported us over the last 6 years. If youd like to leave some thoughts about the band, or whatever, wed encourage you to leave us a comment here.
Spring 2006 has come, and its brought a change. I know that things cant be the same.

The Fullblast Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
How many times did I watch you dying?
You say you'll try but you're really lying
You fade and fade until you're no longer there
It wont be from a lack of trying,
How many times did I watch you dying?
You say you'll try but you're really lying
You fade out and fade and fade and fade
And I can watch it happen,
Right before my very eyes
And I can feel it sinking,
And forever change our lives
It's like I'm on a cruise ship,
And I see a ship wreck
And I can't bare these tortured screams
From everyone on board
The entire crew dies,
And I'm so useless,
To do anything but dream
There is no saving them
It's all the same,
There is no difference
I had to die,
As you just waved goodbye
And it's so selfish,
You won't let me rescue you
And it's your death wish,
And nothing else would ever do
I'm waiting for that phone call,
The one that I have learned to dread
She'll say the worst has happened,
This time there's no second chance
It wont be from a lack of trying,
How many times did I watch you dying?
You say you'll try but you're really lying
You fade and fade until you're no longer there
It wont be from a lack of trying,
How many times did I watch you dying?
You say you'll try but you're really lying
You fade out and fade and fade and fade
(Fade)
Spark and fade out, like you have before
(Fade)
You gave me nothing, I wanted something more
Spark and fade out, like you have before
You gave me nothing, I wanted something
Spark and fade out, like you have before
You gave me nothing, I wanted something more
Spark and fade out, like you have before
You gave me nothing, I wanted something
Why can't you let me, send you down?
Why can't you seek, the life you hold?
Why can't you let me, send you down?
The Fullblast's song "Radio" is about watching someone slowly self-destruct, despite their attempts to convince others that they are trying to change. The lyrics describe the frustration and helplessness of being a bystander to someone's decline, unable to do anything to save them. The song uses powerful metaphors to describe this feeling, such as being on a cruise ship watching a shipwreck, and hearing the tortured screams of those doomed to die. The song ends with the heartbreaking realization that there is nothing that can be done to save this person, and that the singer is waiting for the call that will tell them it's too late.
The song's most powerful element is its use of visual language to bring the listener into the moments of despair and frustration that the singer is experiencing. The lines "It's like I'm on a cruise ship, and I see a shipwreck, and I can't bare these tortured screams from everyone on board" evoke a sense of profound helplessness and despair. Similarly, the repeated refrain of "spark and fade out, like you have before, you gave me nothing, I wanted something more" reinforces the feeling of disappointment and frustration that the singer feels towards the person they are trying to help.

Rock My World Canada!
The Fullblast was a 5-piece punk band based out of Oakville Ontario Canada, active from 2000-2006. Ft. Members of A Wilhelm Scream, Boys Night Out & More. Together since 2000, The Fullblast distinguishes themselves from everything else that has emerged from Southern Ontario - one of the strongest music scenes in North America. Blending fast, explosive punk-rock with unparalleled rhythmic experimentation and melody, and drawing inspiration from a breath of musical styles and artists, they have truly developed a unique sound and reputation as one of the area's most promising group of artists.

Everyone add Ian on facebook and tell him that The Fullblast needs to get back together. I mean, the only one still playing music full time is Brian. They need to get their shit together.
mordakaiiii
@UTF I would love for them to get back together regardless of what Brian's doing, even though he is amazing with AWS... Maybe they could eternally tour together and Brian could become Super-Brian and play 2 sets every show.
