I love this one.Its such a trip. You can tell what Robert was going do do on his future albums from this. The panning, fades & effects. He made The Cure so much better by actually leaving it for a bit.Its too bad it caused such a fuss with both bands.Siouxsie was pissed he took her guitarist on a secret recording session & The Cure members wanted to play.

"You can tell what Robert was going do do on his future albums from this."
Indeed, i even once thought, this was a pre version of " give me it" from the 84 album THE TOP. This is sure a very psychedelic phase of Smith and to me it`s a trilogy of Blue Sunshine, The Top and Hyena.

Indeed. Amazing track, and the album as a whole is a brilliant work of art.

I'm so glad I found this! I went to see The Cure in Brazil in 87 and this was the opening track of the gig. Such an amazing track. Thanks for sharing!

Opening track for The Cure's Head tour in Seattle 1985. Genius.

It almost became a ritual to listen to this CD every time I would trip... Ive been here so many times. And each visit would bring something entirely new. Highly recommended if you're laying in bed, alone, in a cool dark room.

First time hearing this. I've loved all the tunes on The Glove. This is a total surprise. Way beyond....anything!

There should be so many more comments to such a great piece..

The Japanese lines are 「何が何でも井筒屋から銭をもらわなきゃ」「ヘイ!」 = "We need to get money from Izutsuya at any cost." "Hey!" Seems to be a sample from some movie or TV show, but I couldn't find the source, even on any of the Japanese blogs. Izutsuya is a department store est. in 1935, but was also the nickname of a number of wealthy Edo-period merchants, so my best guess is some old samurai movie.
