Shortly after the band’s conception, they began putting work into their first EP, “It’s Not All That Bad.” The EP, which was written over the span of a few short months, was recorded in the same place the band writes and practices– a basement. Each song from their now infamous basement tapes started as a jam session, which turned into an iPhone recording, which ended in Sartino playing it over her car radio on the way home from practice, so she could sing along to it until she found the right words.
Other than the music itself, The Greeting Committee’s ultimate goal is to create a collaborative environment for everyone around them. They see themselves as a massive art project, and want to get as many creative minds involved as possible, which includes the listeners. The music is the soundtrack to something much bigger.

The Greeting Committee Lyrics

From the ways I gave in
It's not that bad, but
There's nothing left here for you
And I was foldin'
In the back room
And you were holdin'
Just can't get, you just can't get when there's
Nothing left here for you
You always found ways to cling in my hand
And I've been ripping you off ever since
It's not that bad but
There's nothing left here for you
And I was foldin'
In the back room
And you were holdin'
Onto something you
Just can't get, you just can't get when there's
Nothing left here for you
In "BBC," The Greeting Committee explores a relationship that has ended and the aftermath of that ending. The singer is reflecting on the past and acknowledging that they were not fully invested in the relationship. They are telling their partner that they have gone through everything they could in terms of introspection and analysis of the situation. They are done with the relationship and there is nothing left for their partner to hold onto.
The opening line of the song, "pull apart every loose end," is a powerful image that sets the tone for the entire song. It suggests that the singer has thoroughly examined the relationship and is now unraveling it to its core. They are admitting that they "gave in" and were not fully committed, but they are also acknowledging that there is nothing left for their partner in this relationship. The chorus emphasizes this point, repeating that there is "nothing left here for you."
The verses of the song are relatively straightforward in terms of their message, but the chorus is where the emotional weight of the song comes through. The repetition of "nothing left here for you" is almost haunting, conveying a sense of finality and closure that is tinged with sadness.
