Осень
The Hatters Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
These lyrics from The Hatters' song "Осень" (Autumn) depict the singer's emotions and experiences during the autumn season. The first verse begins with the imagery of falling leaves, symbolizing the changing nature of life. The singer compares their own feelings to the colorful sadness that blankets the cities. They reflect on their past, measuring the passing years through the streets they've walked and stir up vivid, colorful memories with each step.
In the second verse, the singer expresses a sense of awakening from their melancholy. They remember what they have experienced and smile. The mention of "Piter" (a nickname for St. Petersburg) signifies a specific place where the memories were formed. The air and scent of the city trigger a flood of reminiscences that push the singer further into the introspective state of autumnal nostalgia.
The repetition of the line "Падаю в воспоминания разноцветной тоской" (Falling into memories with colorful sadness) emphasizes the profound impact of nostalgia on the singer. The use of the word "разноцветной" (colorful) implies that although these memories bring forth a sense of melancholy, they are also vibrant, rich, and deeply evocative.
Overall, the song captures the bittersweet beauty of autumn, as the season's melancholic atmosphere intertwines with the singer's personal emotions and recollections.
