Their second studio release, titled Perfect Solutions and recorded in Abbey Road studios, London with the help of producer Nick Webb (has worked with artists and acts such as John Lennon, Queen, Pink Floyd and Duran Duran), sees the daylight in 2001 and is followed by Flashback Mornings with it’s hit single Walk All Night. The Hobos are hailed by many critics as the best thing to come out of Latvia in the last decade.
In 2004, after two long years, The Hobos came out with yet another successful release – band’s first double album Radio Jah Jah. A very special occasion, since the second CD is complied almost entirely of cover versions. Suffice to say, this another example of The Hobos long-standing search for original musical directions.
Since 2006 The Hobos are back in studio, working on their next release due, which is due out soon.

The Hobos Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Damn grown up life
Too idealised
Some sounds are like music
Couple ladies landed on the carpet
Just to play a little part
Tell the fairy tales
Every morning early before the sun rise
On your own you set out on the road
Kicked the stone loosened your belt
Now you’re an adult
Listen how the village people
Tell the fairy tales
Every morning early before the sun rise
Classic example
We can’t be alike
Let us share the broken the break-up's on tonight
Before the sunrise.
The Hobos's song Sunrise is a reflection on the disillusionment of life and the pressure to conform to adult responsibilities. The lyrics suggest that as we grow older, we lose touch with the idealism and emotions of youth, and life becomes more mundane and routine. The opening lines, "Slowed down emotions, damn grown up life, too idealised" capture this sentiment perfectly. The slowed down emotions refer to how as we age, it becomes harder to be moved or inspired by things, while the "damn grown up life" could be interpreted as expressing disappointment with the less exciting aspects of adult life, such as work, bills and responsibility. The phrase "too idealised" suggests that youthful dreams and aspirations are inevitably tempered by the realities of life.
The song then takes a more hopeful turn, however, as it suggests that we can still hold onto some semblance of our younger selves. The lines "Some sounds are like music, couple ladies landed on the carpet just to play a little part" suggest that small moments of joy, such as hearing a favorite song or having friends over to hang out, can still bring a sense of youthful energy and happiness into our lives. The following verse encourages the listener to "listen how the village people tell the fairy tales every morning early before the sun rise", implying that telling stories and connecting with the community can also help us stay in touch with our roots.
The final verse seems to acknowledge that while we may all have to grow up eventually, we can still share in the human experience of heartbreak and loss. "Classic example, we can't be alike, let us share the broken break-up's on tonight" suggests that even though we might have different life experiences and paths, we all share in the emotions and struggles of love and loss. Overall, Sunrise is a poignant reflection on the ups and downs of life, and a reminder that while things may not always be perfect, there are still moments of beauty and joy to be found.
