i loved this film, especially the music
Michael Ohman
Did u read the book? A shame they cut out the vampire material. Still a great adaptation though. Its up there with his others: American Psycho and The Rules of Attraction.

It does sound silly to say that, but its true lol. The scene truly captures the essence of the 80's: music, fashion, fast-paced lifestyle, drugs, decadence. The film just takes a dive after this scene. I'd hate to relegate the 80's to those caracteristics, buts its true lol.

The best part of the film. I wanted to like this film, I've loved all the other Ellis film adaptations, but this one was fell short. They should have focused on only a few of the short stories, and cut out the rest. Great scene though, thanks!

Im with you. I wished they hadn't cut out the vampiric backstory. This opening is so fucking accurate to the opening energy of this story's setting. I'm glad they at least kept alot of the dark humor.

I liked this film.

I think The version that you posted is slowed down to the tempo of the original song… the opening track in the movie is faster. I remember because it kind of annoyed me
