But I'm comin' down
Yeah, I'm comin' down now
Said I don't know about you
But I'm comin' down
Yeah, I'm comin' down now
But I'm comin' down
Yeah, I'm comin' down now
Said I don't know about you
But I'm comin' down
Yeah, I'm comin' down now
Said I don't know about you
But I'm comin' down
Yeah, I'm comin' down now
Said I don't know about you
But I'm comin' down
Yeah, I'm comin' down now
The repeated chorus of "Said I don't know about you, but I'm comin' down" in The Internet's song The Garden can be interpreted as a metaphor for someone becoming disillusioned or disappointed with a situation they once saw as exciting or positive. The Garden, as an album, is about the process of growth and change, and this particular song may represent a stage of that growth where one begins to question what they've been striving for and whether it's really worth it.
The phrase "comin' down" can also be interpreted as a reference to drug use, specifically the experience of coming down off of a high. This interpretation could suggest that the disillusionment referenced earlier may be due in part to the realization that the highs are not sustainable or fulfilling in the long term.
Overall, the lyrics of The Garden suggest a complex exploration of the human experience, with themes of growth, change, disillusionment, and self-discovery. The repeated refrain of "Said I don't know about you, but I'm comin' down" serves as a powerful reminder that even in the midst of exciting or thrilling experiences, there is always a risk of disappointment or disillusionment, and that growth requires facing and accepting these challenges.
