Modern Measurements
The June Spirit Lyrics

I won't need it anyway, it only takes up space.
So rip away my memories,
they take me to a place where I am loved and always warm.
They feed the pain.
Try to, with all your might, to remember happiness,
she's with me in my dreams when I'm asleep she holds me close,
and everythings okay.
Well maybe, I should try and find another..but here it comes again.
I see her eyes, I feel her skin.
Take me back, back in time,
take me to the places I have known, shall know no more.
Take me in your arms and never let me know the pain that comes,
when you're all alone
The song "Modern Measurements" by The June Spirit is about heartbreak, loss and the desperate yearning to relive happier times. The lyrics express the singer's desire to let go of their heart and memories, as they only bring pain and longing for a love they no longer have. The singer begs for someone to take them back in time to "the places I have known, shall know no more", suggesting that they feel as if they've lost everything that made them happy.
The line "try to, with all your might, to remember happiness" is a poignant reminder that it's not easy to let go of love and happy memories. The singer clings to these memories as a way of coping with the pain of losing their relationship. The song speaks to the universal experience of heartbreak and the struggle to move on from a lost love.
